On Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, the Vital Voice newspaper, which claims to provide a diverse and independent voice for the St. Louis Community, ran a story by Colin Murphy entitled Hundreds Protest Outside of St. Louis' Cathedral Basilica. The story was an example of fringe homosexual advocacy that has as its goal a Cultural Revolution....
What occurred on the first Sunday in Advent in front of that Church will continue throughout Advent and perhaps beyond. It may become a regular experience for those who want to go to Mass to have to walk around protest signs. It may also spread beyond St. Louis....
Catholic Christians insist that the truth concerning marriage - and the family and society founded upon it - is rooted in the Natural Law which can be known by all men and women through the exercise of reason. This Natural Law is present in the heart of each man and established by reason and is universal in its precepts and its authority extends to all men. It expresses the dignity of the person and determines the basis for his fundamental rights and duties. (Catechism of the Catholic Church # 1956)
There is a Cultural Revolution underway in the West with two conflicting visions of the human person, human freedom, marriage, the family and the nature of a just society. We need to remember that the early Christians were persecuted in ancient Rome for "hatred of the human race. Yet, they held to the truth and helped to build just and free societies for all. They triumphed over the old paganism which promised liberation and led to license.
We will triumph over this new paganism ...

they tried this crap before up and down the country and it never worked.
Once those who are Catholic not even church goers think their church is under attack the more the Catholics will defend it.
Insanity is dong the same thing when it never worked before and this is what the homosexuals are doing.
If they had a brain and got off their baby tantrum they would realise that holding signs and shouting at folk is never going to win them favour...
The more they get themselves out there(especially with how they look for many of them) the more they piss folks off.
Even folks who never bothered about the homosexual question get pissed off.
Many I know used to say I don’t care what they do now say they are fed up of homosexuals jamming their agenda into our faces.
The more they carry this baby tantrum up the more folks say to hell with them.
The home state of Jessie James this happens, I wonder how he would have acted on this.EEK
My reaction to this story is to smile, tiptoe around the protestors, and say “excuse me” on our way to Mass.
148 gay protesters
4,500 supporters of Palin
Both reported as “hundreds” by the media
I urge each and every practicing catholic to do the same thing that every practicing american is doing- get involved, join a catholic organization in your parish, be it the mens club, womens club, right to life, hibernians, knights of columbus or some other that is offered. These ministries do a vital service to the parish, diocese and church as a whole. Some protect the church from attacks of all kinds, some the bishops and priests, and all defend life. Some of these organizations have been around for hundreds of years and they are largely ignored by all but a remnant of the faithful. There is a huge number of faithful, all feeling frustrated and without voice. The teapartiers banded together into groups and networks to become more effective in their message, so too should Catholics, in large numbers. The lines are being drawn.....
My Catholic Church is heavily attended by ex-con Mexican-Americans and inner city Blacks.
I’m going to enjoy watching the homosexual agitators try to pull a stunt like in St Louis here in Texas.
If you want to convey a little more support than that, here's his street address:

I'm sending a Christmas card with a little green for the season.
Hope you had a nice thanksgiving.
thank you so much and good idea yet again you have done a lot of thought and research.
So how much have the homosexual activists contributed to the food pantries and toy banks? I daresay that generous Catholics all over the Diocese are even now making purchases of foodstuffs, and gifts for those who are less fortunate than they, to brighten their Christmas seasons. And I'm guessing they don't begrudge the Bishop his donation to the Maine campaign.
