(open link for picture)...look closely at this cadet's chest....see the Combat Infantryman's Badge?...see the Army Commendation Metal with device?...he's had prior service before West Point....he's actually fought...he's seen combat in the Infantry...think he gives a rat's ass what some effete community organizer thinks about military strategy?

Well, it looks like he was reading it while “waiting” for Obama to show up and give his speech. The title is misleading.

BTW...I heard the correct story is he was reading that BEFORE the speech. I really doubt he would have been that impolite, regardless of his feelings.

Well, that books sounds like good reading material.
And if our men ever come face to face with Bin Laden, Eric Holder will read him his Miranda rights.

I would like to know what liberals read while waiting on a Bush speech.

So now Reuter’s line is Afghanistan is ‘an 8 year old unpopular war’? I thought this was the central front on the war on terror. I f—ing hate the media.

Anybody know where I can find a list of “popular” wars? I’m an old vet and I’ve never been able to find that list.

A gutsy move by that cadet. However,I suspect that he/she just might have a serious disciplinary encounter very soon.

A U.S. Army cadet reads a book entitled "Kill Bin Laden" as he waits with other cadets for U.S. President Barack Obama to deliver an address on U.S. policy and the war in Afghanistan at the U.S. Military Academy in West Point, New York December 1, 2009. Obama is expected to announce a plan to send 30,000 more U.S. troops to Afghanistan over six months in a bid to beat back the Taliban and bring a quicker end to a costly and unpopular eight-year war. FROM DER SPIEGAL:
( THEY USUALLY ONLY ATTACK BUSH THIS WAY)
AFP
President Barack Obama’s Tuesday speech left a bad taste in many mouths.
Never before has a speech by President Barack Obama felt as false as his Tuesday address announcing America’s new strategy for Afghanistan. It seemed like a campaign speech combined with Bush rhetoric — and left both dreamers and realists feeling distraught.
One didn’t have to be a cadet on Tuesday to feel a bit of nausea upon hearing Obama’s speech. It was the least truthful address that he has ever held. He spoke of responsibility, but almost every sentence smelled of party tactics. He demanded sacrifice, but he was unable to say what it was for exactly.

There is hope for this country with young soldiers like this one.
I just wish they had a Commander in Chief who appreciated their sacrifices (i.e. Sarah Palin)
And yes the article title is misleading but is anyone surprised?
