“Just called the young uns in to read the article and tell me what lesson was missed. Their answer was, duh, dont roll down the window followed by, lay on the horn and drive.
Good for them!
I only mentioned this because of the neighborhood it occurred in, and the idea that she would roll her window completely down, allowing the hijacker to be able to get the door open and pull her out of the car.
She was driving a fairly nice vehicle. Mine locks the doors if you are in DRIVE.
I have no reason to believe she was buying drugs (at least from media accounts, and one knows they never hide the truth), but the circumstances seem fairly odd.
Thank You. Finally someone else sees the bigger picture.
I she had been back home and not in that liberal heck hole she could have had her handgun and shot the dude.
I think it was at 7th and D, NW.
It was a two person operation. One person distracted her, the other opened the car door and assaulted her.
She was naive if she was driving with the doors unlocked in them parts. But what's important is that she's OK and the perps have been charged.
She was in Chinatown, not Seat Pleasant. Seat Pleasant is where the car got retrieved.
I avoid PG County like the plague for this very reason: it is a criminal hotbed, very iffy, very PC and criminal-friendly. Very diverse. Ahem.
Ahem. I live in PG county. Have for 10 years. And, although I am very familiar with the stats, I personally, thanks be to God, have never had a problem with crime (knock on wood). And, by the way, PG is a lot less PC (but more crime ridden) than the District, Montgomery County, Fairfax County, or Arlington County (but admittedly worse than Prince William, Howard, or Anne Arundel)
