Democrats today voted to cut nearly half a trillion dollars from Medicare. The AP reported:
Casting its first votes on revamping the nation’s health care system, the Senate rejected a Republican bid Thursday to stave off Medicare cuts and approved safeguards for coverage of mammograms and other preventive tests for women. The first round of votes ended with a fragile Democratic coalition hanging together.
Senators voted 58-42 to reject an amendment by Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., that would have stripped more than $400 billion in Medicare cuts from the nearly $1 trillion measure. It would have sent the entire 2,074-page bill back to the Senate Finance Committee for a redo.

Maybe we should all ask Harry Reid why he is exempting his staffers from this wonderful hralthcare that is supposed to be so great for all us sheeple? Could it be that the staffers also know it sucks?
Is any republican going to ask him that in front of the media? Or are their staffers also excluded?
What’s scary to me is that they don’t seem to care that they will lose votes. That is a little too confident to me and I wonder why they aren’t concerned?

From the AP Article:
“Democrats said seniors will not lose any guaranteed benefits. The cuts — amounting to a 2 percent slowdown in spending — will help keep Medicare solvent by making it more efficient, they contended. And they pointed out that the health care overhaul bill improves preventive care and prescription coverage.”
What the Democrats don’t tell you and the AP won’t bother informing anyone of is that the CUTS are to take place immediately. The supposed ‘improvements of preventative care and prescription coverage’ doesn’t take effect until 2013. Soooo, hope Grandma doesn’t get sick between now and then!
We must Privatize Medicare, Now.
So are these cuts going to be immediate, or will they wait until 2013 when the actual health bill would be scheduled to start?
AARP should hopefully be losing their membership soon.

Gop proposal of Slowing the rate of growth $6.5 billion over 5 years to Hillary Clinton was”slashing Medicare to the bone”.If we had any journalists left in this country one of them would ask her about the Democrat’s current scheme.
Because they've already figured out how to exempt themselves, their relatives, employees and insider buddies from the horrible fate that befalls the rest of us. They have no doubt set up plans for special medical facilities and hospitals for their own exclusive use. When you see a strange name pop up for a group or medical category of people you've never heard of, that will be their code name for themselves. Maybe they'll be "the untouchables." But it won't be lepers, it will be political hacks.
Any of the contents are irrelevant! The only relevant issue is the fact any federal version health care is unconstitutional since Article 1 Section 8 does not specifically grant Congress the power to regulate health care. This is the point people need to be driving home with their politicians!

This is theft. Every single member of Congress that voted for this needs to be locked up in maximum security.

They’re cutting Medicare so that they have the funds to insure Illegals (read: the NEW MAJORITY). Old white people will soon be dead (sooner now) and therefore don’t count.
