I’ve never been there, but isn’t it kinda hilly in most areas?

Yes, I've been there, and the area is *quite* hilly.

But for some reason, the airport is pretty flat.

Especially the runways.

Cheers!

Drown San Francisco?

I guess I need to eat more beef and dairy products, so as to encourage more cow farts.

That and drive like hell.

How many acre feet of water are required to raise the level of the sea five feet? And where will this water come from?

From ice melting? How much ice would have to melt to raise the level of the entire Pacific Ocean five feet?

Any scientist who believes this should be kicked in the @ss.

There's a good deal of land in the Bay that is reclaimed by land fill. Given that an earthquake can liquify these areas under some conditions, if they are under water anytime soon, it won't likely be because the sea rose.

Brown areas are land fill.

At first glance this looks like a great thing to happen. However, all it would do is drive the wackos further east.

if sea levels were to rise by 150cm (60in).

Actually 150cm is only 59"

Let me guess...

Arnold is looking for an excuse to beg for more taxpayer money.

I say, “Let ‘em flood and sink into the Pacific!”

Is the airport really only 5 feet above water?

Yes. I live a couple miles (uphill) from SF Int'l Airport. Much of it is bay-fill. Same goes for Treasure Island, which Schwarzenegger said would be under water if the bay waters rose. Well... Treasure Island is man-made, from bay-fill, done in the 1930s to host an international fair celebrating the building of the bridges over the bay. My dad was stationed there for a while in the 60s, and I enjoyed the views from the island - perfectly flat. Treasure Island was going to be San Francisco's main airport, but they swapped it to the feds for land where SFIA is now located. I walk and jog near SFIA a few times a week, much of the land is bay-fill and is being cleaned up after a hundred years of dumping.

Ahnold... Ahnold!

That map was made from computer models now known to have been fraudulently manipulated.

What that means, Ahnold, is that the map you are waving is as fictitious as the metal monster you played in the terminator" movies. That means it's not real!

In case you still don't understand, that means that it's FAKE; it does not exist!"

LOL!

Not where the airport is. It is about 15 miles south of San Francisco, and, although it's surrounded by other cities or the County of San Mateo, the airport is legally and actually part of the City and County of San Francisco. What the actual elevation of the runways is, I'll have to check.
