But two Hollywood conservatives (yes, there are some) have called upon the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences to rescind the prestigious, profitable gold Oscar statuette that it gave ex-Vice President Al Gore two years ago for the environmental movie "An Inconvenient Truth."

Wouldn’t that be sweet? I wonder what the CEOs of all those corporations that bought Carbon-Offset Credits are thinking right now??? If we can get THEM to start complaining the picture you posted might actually come true... After all they were defrauded!

The startling leak comes at an inconvenient time just before next week's United Nations' climate change meeting that will cause an immense carbon footprint with thousands of people flying up or over to Denmark to talk about saving the environment.

These airplanes will include Air Force One with its primary passenger President Obama, who's returning to the Copenhagen scene where he didn't help win the 2016 Summer Olympics for Chicago, which could do with a little global warming at this time of year.

Thanks for the laugh, Andrew Malcolm.

As has been noted before, Obama's jetting in to Copenhagen at an insignificant time -- not at the beginning, (where the tone is set),  nor the end of the conference (when decisions are made). Actually, he's just passing through, on his way to collect his Nobel Peace Prize, at his convenience, on his own timetable, while gathering some photo ops and media swoons along the way.

I’d like to see some teachers who showed this lie to millions of children in the same suit!

You are exactly right. Sure, it won’t happen. The prize will never be rescinded.

It doesn’t matter. AGW doesn’t happen either, but the propaganda campaign was almost successful enough to make the taxes happen.

So many americans are clueless to the whole goings on. If it gets coverage in the entertainment world though, a whole new audience will be reached. And it will be the audience of morons crucial to the electoral survival of liberals.

This is a good thing.

IIRC the AA went to the producers of that pile of crap but Al accepted it as the star of it and on behalf of them. I am not sure he actually has the actual statuette but who knows for sure.

Why stop here. He was given the Nobel Peace Prize for the same bs. Recind that, along with the cash that came with it. Oh, and add about 30% interest to that just to have Algore cough up more $$$. He would never part with a penny of any of that.

Exactly.

AL GORE NEVER WON AN OSCAR!!

THE DIRECTOR AND PRODUCER OF THE FILM HE WAS IN WON THE AWARDS.

IF HE HAS ONE IT WAS A GIFT AND NOT AWARDED TO HIM BECAUSE THERE WAS NOT A CATEGORY TO GIVE ACTORS IN A DOCUMENTARY THIS HONOR.

LAST TIME I CHECKED HE WASN’T IN THE CREDITS AS BEING ONE OF THE PRODUCERS OR THE DIRECTOR.

IF HE DOES HAVE ONE, THE ACADEMY SHOULD BE INVESTIGATED FOR FRAUD.

While this seems like a good idea on the surface, a revocation precedent could ultimately create chaos with the academy awards, since most awards are made on a politically basis, rather than on any merits, and as the political winds shift, awards would constantly be re-awarded. Like I give a s*ht!

[BTW, one of my favorite scenes in any movie is in “Boogie Nights” when the porn stars attend their version of the Oscars. It’s a subtle parody of the Oscars, showing a bunch of self-important losers giving each other pats on the back for their self-proclaimed “accomplishments” in their insular little world.]

They’ll just change the category to whatever “Spinal Tap” would have fallen in.

Mockumentary!

Nonsense! The greater the failure, the more lavish the accolades that will spew forth from the Collective.

I expect HBO to do the biggest turnabout and start producing films about the AGW scam. That’s a big joke. Actually HBO has been one of the biggest promoters of the scam and generally a huge sounding board for any lib propaganda for whatever cause.

"Take away his awards"? That's all?!
I'm wondering why he should be treated any differently than Bernie Madoff!
I'm fine with him keeping those awards - in the cell with him - an apt reminder of how vain & pointless those organizations are.
