Gibbs takes a swipe at the GOP

White House press secretary Robert Gibbs told reporters in his West Wing office Friday that the Republican Party's approval rating is "only slightly above the national drinking age."

Gibbs was criticizing GOP efforts to delay Senate passage of the healthcare bill.

With only two amendments being voted on so far, Gibbs was asked if a more realistic deadline for the healthcare bill is somewhere around the State of the Union address in late January.

"I'm not going to wiggle on the date," Gibbs said.

He said the president still wants a bill he can sign this year, and Obama "would be happy to sign it in Hawaii," where he is spending Christmas.

"I can think of any number of picturesque settings" where Obama could sign the bill, Gibbs said.

That what this clown posse does. Rather then answer the questions they attack someone to divert attention. If we had any “Journalists” left, they would be tearing Gibbs a new one for his clownish incompetence

Hey Robert...no one ever expected you to recognize an American public fighting to save it Constitutional Republic. A pretty tacky concept, right ???

Something I have always wondered about? Was the White House having a “hire the mentally challenged week” when you were hired???

“BAGHDAD BOB” Gibbs needs to start wearing his black baret, it would make his remarks more believable.

Whenever this clown talks I cringe, what a liar! Does anyone else remember Gibbs making a comment this past summer about some upcoming jobs report where he mentioned things were getting worse, then of course the next day the numbers were released and the unemployment rate went from 9.4% to 9.2%? I sure do. The WH of course crowed that their economic program was working, exactly what they are doing today, Gibbs included. Is it legal for the WH to mention or even reference these numbers?

"We are going to kick all their asses out of office ... "

"All"? Does that mean all currently elected person's? Because of it does count me in.

If "we" are only looking at Democans or Republicats (one or the other) count me out!

Amen! I hope all the libtards are thinking like Gibbs. The Republican takeover of 94 will pale in comparison of what will happen in 2010.

An amateur way out of his league. His backlash for his behavior at today’s press briefing will cost him and the administration at least 2 to 3 negative stories over the next 3-4 months as payback for talking down and treating one of their own as dog shit.

Isn’t that nice. Zero is spending Christmas in his faux home state of Hawaii.

Gibbs is totally unprofessional.
