WASHINGTON (AP) - Climate researchers say cooler temperatures in North America last year do not mean global warming is easing.
Their report comes just days before President Barack Obama goes to Copenhagen, Denmark, to speak at a United Nations conference on climate change.

Weather isn’t permanent.
Climate isn’t permanent.
Temperature isn’t permanent.
CO2 level isn’t permanent.
“Last year”? What about the last decade + (11 years)?
Last summer? It’s 24 degrees in West Texas with snow on the ground and schools opening late for the second time this week. No one here can ever remember anything like that this early in the winter. I miss my globull warming...
What “climate researchers” would those be? The wizards at the University of WEST Anglia, perhaps?
This threat is a manufactured boogeyman. It has zero credibility any more.
Based on CRU's data, no doubt.
Now, that makes me feel so much better!
Worth repeating:
How can they tell me what the weather will be in 50 years if they can’t tell me what it will be Tuesday?
This old saying fits here: And you can take that to the bank! (literally) LOL
I HOPE Global Warming returns. I didn’t get my boat out once this summer! It was the most cold and miserable summer I can ever remember.
Nice try AP. No one is buying it.
Some like it cold, some like it hot, but believing you, I surely will not.
Global warming is REAL because Al and Hussein SAY so!!
Global warming is REAL because Al and Hussein SAY so!!
It will be interesting to see how they spin the data if next year is also a cooler year.
Climatologists can’t predict what the temperature will be 10 days from now, yet they can predict it 50 years into the future. I don’t believe any of it.
The liberals are just trying to scare the sheeple as best they can. Funny how implicitly this article just admitted its been getting colder, not warmer.
University and Government researchers? About as trustworthy as Tiger Woods.
Funny, but, when I was a child and into my early teens we had temperatures where I lived that were as high as 120 degrees (in the shade) which lasted for days on end. I’m living in the same community now as I lived in back then (1960’s - 1970’s) and we rarely see temperatures above 115. Certainly we have not had temps in the 110 - 120 range during the summer over the course of the past 10 years. Global warming my eye.
last year? ROFL try decade.
The climatologists lied to us yesterday, they lie to us today, so what is to stop them from lying to us tomorrow? They need to remember the little story about the little boy who cried “wolf”.
