However the cooling last year is part of a decade long cooling trend that has occurred despite higher CO2 levels. ergo the theory that higher CO2 levels causes global warming is pure bunk.

I’m a global warming (AGW) skeptic, but you can’t make too much of short-term local conditions. In Seattle, we had an unusually hot and dry summer, but we’ve had a very wet autumn. We also had an unusually cool winter last year. What matters are the global stats and the polar stats.

The question I’d like to ask the GW alarmists is, “Would it better if the earth were cooling?” No one in the press ever asks them that because the honest answer would be, “No.”

Long range forecast models for next week are predicting a couple of major blizzards over the next two weeks. The first one comes through Cali and could dump more snow on Las Vegas once again.

Not ONLY was today the earliest it has ever snowed in Houston...

BUT last year, it snowed on Dec 10th, and THAT was the earliest it had ever snowed prior to today...

AND NOT ONLY THAT...

BUT until last year and this year, IT HAS NEVER SNOWED IN HOUSTON IN TWO CONSECUTIVE YEARS!

I’ve lived here since 83. It usually snows every 4-5 years, and usually in January.

According to the records, since record-keeping began about 120 years ago, there has NEVER been snow on two consecutive years.

And it just so happens that Dec 10 2008 and then Dec 4 2009 were sequentially the EARLIEST it has snowed in this same 120 year period.

Amazing but true.

Thank the stars that ALGAE-GORE is here to protect us.

Take your camera. We need an image of the all illusive Ice Tornado (Freezing Rain Tornado). Kinda like sighting BigFoot or ManBearPig.

And you will probably have a chance at a threepeat next season. Snow right on the boundary of New Orleans as I type. Looks like the preferred method to cool the tropics is switching to temperate forcing. Tropical forcing (Hurricanes) has weakened in the Atlantic.
