Chicago police were investigating a burglary at the offices of attorneys for former Gov. Rod Blagojevich in which at least one computer containing undercover recordings from the sweeping corruption case was stolen, sources said.

The break-in took place about 4 a.m. at the law offices of Sam Adam and his son, Sam Adam Jr., in the 6100 block of South Ellis Avenue, police and Sam Adam Jr. said.

Contrary to early statements by a police News Affairs officer who referred calls regarding the burglary to the FBI, the FBI is not involved in the investigation, FBI Chicago office spokesman Ross Rice said in a statement.

How convenient for people on the other end of the calls. I would imagine, however, the feds got a copy with earlier warrants.

Richard Nixon was a cub scout compared to the Chicago political crime machine.

Richard Nixon was a cub scout compared to the Chicago political crime machine.

All we did in Nov 2008 was to move the Chicago thugocracy machine to 1600 Pennsylvania Ave when Barry Milhous Soetoro was immaculated.

OMG! There is so much in this that strains credulity (not that any Freeper believed any of this for one minute). My wife had an interesting take; wasn't much of an alarm system if they had time to steal eight computers AND a SAFE!

Bill Clinton is starting to look honorable.

Unbelievable! What are the odds against something like this happening, huh? Evidence vanishes ... no signs of a break-in .... It’s almost as if the burglers had a key or something and knew exactly what to take. It’s creepy, that’s what it is ..... creepy.

For any prosecutor who hope to enforce the law. I would hope they are smart enough to have a backup.

“I would imagine, however, the feds got a copy with earlier warrants.” Um, if these were not democrats, you might haqve a point. But given that a criminal enterprise is now completeely in charge, it is more likely that the ‘trust you will not dispose of this vital evidence in your psossession’ is at work and the material was only available on those computers and in that safe. The excuse of course will be that the attormey was trusted to maintain the evidence for federal use ... and a stern rebuke will be issued and promptly forgotten and the affirmative action bastard and his Chicago bitch squad will sakte free like sinkEmperor clintoon. They’re building a mythology for their affirmative action bastard and it must not be tainted don’tchaknow.

Chicago is truly a special place. Had we an honest press, we would be spinning with disbelief.

This is down in Barry’s old barrio—just south of the University of Chicago campus. Lots of crime down there, you know—esp. just south of Midway Plaisance. Lots of gangs. Aw schucks, prolly just a bunch of gangbangers looking for stuff to sell for drugs, dontcha know. Prolly just looking for computers with personal data to use for identity theft. Why I know someone who lives down in that area. Why, golly gee, his condo was broken into and they took his computer and used the tax information stored on it for identity theft. There were a couple dozen burglaries in the same neighborhood.

Nothing to see here, folks. Move along. Garden variety burgling, yessirree Bob.
