Her ex-husband’s bravos certainly impresses me.

I'd naively speculate those "bravos" may be "self-serving"
for the ex.

He wants to stay on Desiree's good side so that:
1. He can attend White House functions
2. She's employed and maybe that makes her go easy on any requests
or upgrades in alimony.

It would be interesting to find out if her wardrobe is as pricey
as the one McCain's staff pushed onto Palin during her VP campaign...

My comment about her ex-husband was sarcasm.
If the Obama White House is knowingly this lax about security, than the safety of the President is irrelavant.
To be this lax with foreign dignitaries present, raises this to an international level. Once again, the rest of the world is watching, and they are not amused.
