The facts tell a completely different story from the fable that Huckabee is propagating. Clemmons committed much more than one burglary and one robbery. Also, Clemmons was 17 years old, not 16, as Huckabee claims.

For Gawwd’s sakes, Huckawannabe even went to the VIEW, who don’t cha know patted his little hand and said ‘It’s OK, we know you did the best you can.’ (puke)
Upchuckabee is a real POS.
I think Huckabee is the most disgusting GOP nominee in this decade. He was pretty openly bigot, then pretended he did not about that, and his constant lies just made me sick.
He misused religion.
I mean candidate, not nominee.
Not even close, that title is easily won by the "I marched with Martin Luther King" Mitt Romney.
Alright. We’ll call it a draw.
well, he worked with MLK and openly supported that part of civil rights movement (ie real civil rights) so at best it is an exaggeration, but it is difficult to imagine anything worst from a GOP candidate than bigoted attacks. This country was specifically founded on the principle of religious freedom.
I won’t call it a draw, Mitt Romney is far and away the worst major republican candidate, the man is at the very least a compulsive liar, literally compulsive, he lies more than any other GOP candidate, but he also often lies simply because he cannot control himself, such as “I marched with MLK” or “I longed in many respects to actually be in Vietnam and be representing our country there and in some ways it was frustrating not to feel like I was there as part of the troops that were fighting in Vietnam.” or “I have a gun of my own. I go hunting myself. I’m a member of the NRA and believe firmly in the right to bear arms.” and many more.
Mitt Romney never worked with MLK, when MLK was killed in 1968, Mitt was still in France avoiding military service.
I didn’t realize this ... thanks for letting us know. It is disappointing, but perhaps something good can come out of this.
It’s time for Huckabee to move to the background where he can support Sarah, should she need it.
Judging by the posts here at FR documenting Romney’s lies, I would disagree.
“Reagan was adamantly Pro-choice” was a bizarre lie to tell for instance, but Romney spread that for months, until now it is a internet legend that will probably never disappear.
The more the dead fish Huckster lies and rots in the sun, the worse he stinks.
You claimed that Mitt claimed that “I marched with MLK “. Your statement is either a lie or accidental error.
Mitt claimed that his father marched with MLK (they did work together, but possibly did not march together in any big march).
Nothing justifies being a bigot or racist and trying to promote himself by divisive racial or religious attacks. Huckabee was guilty of that.
I see that you do not know much about Mitt Romney.
BOSTON GLOBE By Michael Levenson
Globe Staff / December 21, 2007
“Mitt Romney went a step further in a 1978 interview with the Boston Herald. Talking about the Mormon Church and racial discrimination, he said: “My father and I marched with Martin Luther King Jr. through the streets of Detroit.”
Yesterday, Romney spokesman Eric Fehrnstrom acknowledged that was not true. “Mitt Romney did not march with Martin Luther King,” he said in an e-mail statement to the Globe.”
When did he do that? We know that Romney exploitatively used race by lying to claim the MLK mantle for he and his father until he was exposed.
We also know that as a major religious figure and teacher (Priest, Bishop and Stake President) that Mitt Romney would have been having to teach and address why blacks were too inferior to hold roles in his religion, this was going on for more than ten years after MLK's death, all the way into the late 70s (1978).
Mitt Romney and race are not a road that Mitt should want to go down.
