Time and Newsweek are very predictable. When they have their list of “worst” and “best”, the former tend to be associated with Republican policies and the later tend to be associated with Democratic policies.
I cannot remember whether it was Time or Newsweek, but it was either one of the two. They had a list of the best in every field from science to sports to academic. When it came to selecting the best legislator in congress, guess who they selected ? None other than the honorable swimmer -— TED KENNEDY.
I finally found out that it was indeed TIME MAGAZINE that selected Ted Kennedy as one of the top 10 best senators.
This from BBC NEWS after Ted Kennedy’s death :

In 2006, Time magazine named him as one of America’s “Ten Best Senators”, saying that he had “amassed a titanic record of legislation affecting the lives of virtually every man, woman and child in the country”.
You’ve typed “Time” and “Newsweek” a few too many times this morning and should know better than to use that kind of language on a family forum. Now go wash your hands out with soap this instant young man! :)
The state media trying to write history again...remember Reagan’s “decade of greed”?
Given that the leftists have been caterwauling about Iraq and Afghanistan for most of this decade one must assume this clown hasn't missed these two events. Therefore, when he denies any large-scale armed conflicts one can only conclude that he's either a lunatic or a liar. Both are common in leftists these days and, of course, they are not mutually exclusive.
They weren't even accurate about the events of THIS decade, how can you expect them to crack open a few history books and review earlier ones?
