Yes, they are called Rockefeller Republicans. Back when Republicans were permanent losers, they controlled the party. When the Christian Conservatives gave up on the Dems, they took over the Republican Party. Some called them the "Silent Majority". This coalition made the Party more competitive and were able to win some elections. Many in the Party feel the Christians should sit down and shut up, but this would make the Repubs a permanent loser again. I remember going to the Texas State convention when Allen Keyes was a candidate and some Republicans rose and left saying, "If I wanted a sermon, I would go to church", as he explained the evils of abortion and how none of us were safe if we were allowed to murder the most innocent of us.

As we see today, the state has been allowed to murder Terri Shiavo, and now, as you will soon see, they will kill whom ever costs them too much money to keep alive. A Democrat can't connect murder of babies to murder of your mother in their limited mental capacity. Only Christians with discernment seem to be able to do that, understanding the evil in men's hearts.

An example of this Republican state of mind would be Rudy Guliani or Bloomberg. They are fine on taxes, but libertarian on moral issues. The lesson from all this is, Chritian conservatives must remain in control of the Party or the Repubs will return to obscurity. There are many in the Party that can't stand us, but they will put up with us to get their tax cut.

P.S. to post #15. This is the reason to worry about the social liberals taking over the CHURCHES! Many pastors failed to warn their sheep about BHO. In fact, they probably voted for him themselves.

Besides losing your soul to Satan, you could lose your country if you allow blasphemy's to be preached from your pulpit. We will return to irrelevance if that happens.

Obviously, there should be no separation of church and state. God should be central in EVERYTHING you do.
