"Socially Liberal, Fiscally Conservative, Such a Thing?"
Well, here's my take on that...
They say that "socially liberal=fiscally conservative is the hallmark of libertarians.
But the libertarians I know - including my son - vote for the most fiscally irresponsible person I've ever known, barack - the kenyan - obama. To me, that totally blows the fiscal conservatism theory away.
Now, if they are "socially liberal", that means that they are all for the plethera of social programs championed by the left, which means billions and billions of taxpayer dollars - including theirs - lost in fraud, and cheating...again, not too fiscally conservative.
So therefore, I think people who claim to be "socially liberal and fiscally conservative" (libertarians) are simply liberals who want to spend everyone else's money, but not their own.
Just sayin....

I don't know if he's confused or just hasn't thought about it very much, but your son is NOT a libertarian. No libertarian supports forcing people to contribute to the type of idiotic redistribution programs Obama supports.
