Nat is a special favorite of mine, and was never really a liberal-—much more a Libertarian. He has been most eloquent as a Pro-Life advocate, and everything he’s written on it is a must-read.I have referred to his stuff many times on FR. And this reminds me, somewhere in my basement is a well-kept wax or vinyl recording of one of his early radio shows from the late 40s in Boston. It belonged to a dear friend of ours (who died a few weeks before 9-11) who grew up with Nat in Boston in the 30s and 40s and was kind of high-profile in the Pop and Jazz music scene. I’d better try to get it to him soon-—he’s about 84 years old, I believe.
OH, and by the way, NAT was a very early supporter of Sarah Palin as McCain’s Veep choice, and wrote a piece titled:
Senator Mc Cain, here is your V.P.——where he pinpointed all the positive things about Sarah. I don’t know if he still feels the same way-—Maybe I will google it.
Me too. This just scares me to death. I was listening to Mark Levin tonight on the way home and he was talking about QALYs in the UK and Ezekial Emmanual’s (”Dr. Death”) “life years” ideas. In both systems, the government alone decides who will get care based on your age, your health, your disease, etc. How the hell could our free nation have EVER arrived at the point where our elected officials and faceless bureaucrats decide whether you or I live or die?? Our country is lost.

This country has been under far left control for years. Bush never had a real REP majority in either house. This Healthcare Bill has one major goal. It will transfer more power to the executive branch then ever. Your medical records and all financial and personal data will be on Zero’s desk if he wants it. And those far left types worried about privacy after 9/11? This oughtta shake those privacy act types in their boots. It won’t because most are socialists or hard core communists.
