Bull. Even idiots do things right every once in a great while. If an idiot stumbles upon the correct answer to 2+2, you don’t say he’s wrong just because you don’t like him. I have been supporting the troops and the war since it started. I’m not going to turn my back on them now just because some dofus is doing the right thing for once in his life. Your premise is a lie. Agreeing with a rapist that water is wet does NOT mean you approve of what he’s done. The right thing is the right thing, and the truth is the truth, even if it comes from the mouth of an a55.

You misunderstand my "premise." Of course it is possible to support Obama on this issue and oppose him on others. That is not what is happening here, however. Many pro-war (you seem to be a rare exception) want to have it both ways e.g support his policy of escalation in Afghanistan but refuse to openly and honestly admit it.
