If We Need Abortion Riders, Why Not Viagra Policies, Too?
New York Daily News ^ | December 7, 2009 | Michael McAuliff

Reproductive health restrictions aren’t good for the goose, and they’re not good for the gander either, Sen. Barbara Boxer argued today, suggesting new abortion restrictions on women are the same as making men buy special impotence insurance.

Boxer, saying she suspected it would be almost all men arguing for Sen. Ben Nelson’s anti-abortion amendment, argued that if someday one of them “wants to buy Viagra, for example,” and found “that his pharmaceutical coverage cannot cover it, that he has to buy a rider, I wouldn’t support that.”

“And they shouldn’t support going after a woman using her own private funds for her reproductive health care,” she argued.

“Is it fair to say to a man, ‘You’re going to have to buy a rider to buy Viagra, and this will be public information to be accessed?’ No, I don’t support that,” she said. “I support a man’s privacy just as I support a woman’s privacy.”

We’re waiting to hear one of those men make the counter argument.

This broad couldn’t be dumber if she went to school for it. My dog won’t even admit he’s part Boxer anymore.

Boxer is a fool. There’s a big difference between abortion and male enhancement drugs.

This is ridiculous!

Abortions cost approximately $500. (Disclaimer: I don't know for sure as I've never had one and do not condone them for any reason at all).

If someone can't afford $500 for this disgusting "procedure," then they also cannot afford to pay a deductible for hospitalization, which is about $500-1000.

Maybe Michelle Obama was right after all. I’m ashamed to live in a country that would elect someone that stupid that to such high office.

Don’t worry - she’s not American. She’s from California.

Hell! I thinks whenever my little friend cannot get up anymore, it will be time for me(and Him) to just remember past battles!

Let's make a quick comparison:

Yeah, aside from that, they're really equivalent.

Well, just for me personally, that natural physiological function can - and has - gotten me in enough trouble without assistance from the pharmaceutical companies!

FWIW, our new retiree prescription drug program just informed us that it would no longer cover male performance-enhancing drugs.

So take that, Senator Boxer.

Me, too. Being older and single at this point, I don’t need the stuff unless I were to go out looking for trouble. I hope I’m smarter than that by now.

The argument is that if men can have sex, Democrats can kill babies.

Nice one Boxer. These asshats aren't even afraid of not being reelected.
Americans are not paying attention, have not been.
