Gibbs has been with Obama for years. He dresses well and looks conservative and restrained, rather than like a wild-eyed radical. He is a beard for Obama whose job is to keep people from realizing what an anti-American socialist Obama really is. To the extent he angers the media, they focus their ire on him and not on Obama, so he can afford to be arrogant and belligerent.

I have no doubt that he is every bit as radical as Obama.
