"Devon Puglia '08, a registered Democrat, was the President of the Republican club from '06 - '08.

Is it any wonder that the "Republican" club disappeared?

This sounds just like the problem that the "Republican" Party currently has, with RINO/crypto-Democrat liberal infiltrators who are running the RNC and who managed to get placed as "Republican" candidates in elections.

Roger Boesche, one of Obama's old professors, was faculty advisor to both the College Republican and the College Democrats. It could be nobody else on the faculty was willing to take on the job.

The College Republicans were more active a while ago, but they just collapsed with Obama's taking office. The way things are going now, maybe they'll be back.
