Ya got me. I'll have to ask him. I was a pre-teen during the time he was in country, and never knew any of the details of his deployments. He used to show me aftermath photos sometimes, though. Serious destruction.
Major Crittenden Bell, Special Forces, Vietnam. Early 1964 to late 1966. That's all I know.
He took the time to write up and document his whole military career after he retired. It's nicely bound in volumes, which he's willed to me. On the day that I open them, I'll finally know what Daddy did in the war. Like a lot of vets, it's not something he talks about with people who weren't there.
