President Barack Obama is spending almost $600 million to build community health centers and to make medical records easier to find.
The White House on Wednesday painted the spending -- part of the $787 billion stimulus bill the president championed during his first days in office -- as a way to add jobs to a struggling economy. Officials also linked it to the administration's broader push for an overhaul of the nation's health systems that remains unfinished in Congress.

There are commercial properties vacant all over the place that could be used as medical office space. This is just more government BS.

These will all be SEIU jobs on the taxpayers dime. Cannot wait until 2010/2012!

Tax breaks and incentives could accomplish the same plus more without embracing one damn fiber of the Socialists’ agenda.
...these clinics will be built in the inner cities...deep urban America is the powerbase of the Dem Left...one can only imagine the waste, fraud and abuse that will spring forth from this....and it will go on for years and get bigger and bigger...just like the Great Society programs...eventually we will become a nation of tax evaders because we simply will not be able to keep any income for ourselves.
Be very wary of this ‘local’ spending project. I read about their diabolical healthcare plans years ago - Their plan will ultimately require most of us to get our healthcare from local schools in your community. It stands to reason that if you rock the boat with what schools are teaching your children/grandchildren, you’ll pay dearly in more ways than one - your health.
Hmmmmmm....EXACTLY like Chavez did with doctors from Cuba in Venezuela.

This way all dissenters can suddenly discover that they were given the wrong medication by “accident” as often as possible. Also, you cannot sue an absolute government for malpractice.
I don’t have to mention where this is going ping.
There are more permanent ways to deal with incompentent government healthcare workers than a lawsuit.

Straight out of the communist playbook. That’s what they called them in the former Soviet countries — community health centers. Understaffed, no equipment, chronic shortages of medication (unless you had the money to bribe officials) and forget about sterilization. Ah yes, community health centers = death traps.
This wil increase jobs Government paid jobs.
Jobs paid for by the Government do not help the economy. They are part of the problem , not the solution.
To help the economy the Private sector has to provide jobs.
The government pays 100% thay tax back 33&1/3% that leaves
the government 66&2/3% in the hole.
A Private employer takes 33&1/3 % out to pay your witholding, and 66&2/3% goes into the economy.
The Bama Boy just cant get that.
