—my suspicion is that the “Firearms Freedom” acts will have the same legal standing as “nullification”— another word I see every now and then-—

I like the spirit of the laws but never gave them much chance of surviving - no matter how much money was spent to defend them.

A victory would simply open too many other doors.

There is simply no way state laws can trump federal law unless the feds allow it. Remember the “supremacy” clause of the Constitution? Anyone who challenges this will spend Christmas in the “gray bar Hilton.”

There is a great LEGAL parallel here to the recent Obama decision to basically not go after marijuana users in state that allow “medical marijuana.” Such sale and use violates federal law, but the feds have basically allowed the states to “follow their own head” (pardon the unintentional pun) on this.

Can the same be true of totally intrastate Title III weapons? The marijuana directive sets good legal precedence.

This is going to take tens of millions, possibly hundreds of millions of dollars.

Other than moral support, the NRA should stay out of it, as it would bankrupt them.

It's true. I'm a Life Member and get American Rifleman, and it's on page 18. Their rationale?

After searching the DECEMBER issue and not finding it, I realized I was supposed to be looking in the September issue. The NRA is warning individuals not to become criminals because they will be prosecuted and the NRA simply can't help them. They know they would lose the case because the way Congress interprets the law.

Now back to that December issue that I was looking through. The NRA was involved with half a dozen lawsuits due to Heller mostly in Illinois but also in California. Luckily, most of those Illinois cities gave up their gun bans including the one in Morton Grove which started it all.

The NRA also didn't oppose Heller. It opposed Parker which turned into Heller. The filing of the case was before we had Roberts and Alito. We would have lost.

Next, ask yourself where is the goa and what have they ever done on their own?

The NRA resembles the RNC too much these days. All mouth and no spine.

Federal Agencies only operate within any State WITH THEIR PERMISSION. Rescind All contracts,agreements... with Fedzilla, Then arrest and Jail All Federal Employees within the State. No State is required to Follow Federal law if it believes it is Unconstitutional. Challenge EVERY FEDERAL AGENCY on Constitutional Grounds, Arrest every single person for Violating the rights of their citizens. Use only State Laws, the only recourse for imprisoned Federal Employees is the Presidential Pardon. Force them to Defend their very Jobs as being Constitutional, they cannot defend their actions.
