The Second Stimulus

It has not escaped the notice of the great unwashed and unruly that the stimulus plan was never meant to create jobs. As the housing industry collapsed, construction sector jobs began shedding like water. Meanwhile, due to government mismanagement of funds during the long bull market (a practical refutation of Keynesian economics if ever their was one), infrastructure had devolved into dangerous disrepair. Putting on our Keynesian hats for a moment, it made some sense that if we were going to spend untold billions of tax payer dollars we could quickly re-purpose construction workers to rebuild infrastructure in 'shovel ready' projects before their unemployment rippled into the rest of the economy. Simple, elegant, done.

That's not what the government did. The graph of expenditure does not look in any way like a stimulus package. It looks like what it is; an opportunity to refund failing government departments and push forward the Obama policy agenda blissfully ignorant of any practical unemployment reality. The 'stimulus' allocates $170 billion to health, labor and education, $89 billion to Medicaid, $62 billion to infrastructure, $52 billion to Energy, with the rest scattered across the spectrum or obscured by misleading accounting...

Nobama has not spent about $600,000,000 of the first money. It his “stash” (to paraphrase a Detroit woman) of “walk-around money” for the next election cycle. He is lieing marxist bent on destroying our freedoms: personal, economic and otherwise. Please, resign immediately, Nobama. You make the majority of us very ill.
