I haven’t been to Flag in 7 years. No money, no gas. Would love to go. I used to go all the time as a kid. Last time I was there, we stayed at Lake Mary Lodge. Lake Mary was almost a puddle.
Upper Lake Mary is back about 35+ feet from the dam, but was pretty good all summer. With a good winter we’ll be OK.
Moved up here from LA in 2005, to get away from the city and the CA gun laws. We brought in a pair of conservative votes, my wife and me, and find a similarly lopsided populace as in LA. The newly elected mayor is unbelievably flaky, along with the majority of the city counsel. The city needs money but wouldn’t rent out office space to ICE because they were appalled at how upset certain people became when they got to work. The mayor and her minions decide to thwart law enforcement when the law doesn’t suit them. I wrote the AZ Daily Sun op-ed on that one too, but I don’t think it got printed.
