actually sounds very much like a singles event i went to in DC. we paid. there were 500 of the most unattractive men I have ever seen in one room. after ten minutes we left.

My wife and I have a similar list of humurous exceptions as well. All of whom are famous people etc. It’s just a way of telling one another “who” we really like in that realm.
One time we actually met the top ecxeption on my wife’s list. It was Ian Asbury the lead singer for The Cult. I think she’d had a crush on him since she was a teenager. We ran into him at a bar and I jokingly agreed to live up to my part of the bargain. She was so terrified to even say “hello” to the guy that ultimately I had to introduce us. She just kind of cried and hugged the guy. The whole episode was so outragiously funny that everyone at our table was in tears laughing to whole night.
