I forgot to add that today was the FIRST time I heard ABC news report the e-mail scandal on the radio.

It wouldn’t be because all of the sudden they’ve got a rebuttal for the e-mails, would it? Nah... Just a coindence, I’M SURE!

They ended their little segment with the “Over 1,700 scientists” bit, and nothing about who they were, where they were from, or whether there was any dissention from other scientists.

As long as it discredited the emails... That’s ALL they were looking for! “LOOK... We reported E-Mail Scam!”

[[This AP story is so misleading.]]

The mainstream media is desperate to keep this scam alive- they have ignroed the evdience refuting man caused global wamrign right from the start, and now they are goign to have to eat crow IF they ever admit they were wrong- so they are desperately tryign to keep the spin alive- You’ll note a very subtle wording change i ntheir stories lately- not claimign that ‘man is causing change, but rather, only that ‘change has occured’- Yes- the science is settled, warmign DID happen over a decade ago- but the settled science ALSO shows that it was NOT as drasyic or a crisis, and it shows it was NOT as warm as past warming trends BEFORE the indusrtial revolution, and it hsows that we ARE cooling again now- DESPITE the fact that we’re pumping more CO2 into the atmosphere than ever before

The maisntream medai are subtly still scamming everyone by leavign out crucial details which refute AGW alarmism

You were saying ...

The following in that piece is either incredibly ill informed or a lie:

It's citing one side and then the opposition to it. So, the article is not as ill-informed as some of those who are quoted in opposition to the idea.

All that is doing is showing that there is opposition to it. You don't have to believe the opposition. That's science, anyway. You're going to have competing theories as to what "makes things work" the way they do.

It's just, in this particular case (of climate change...) I'm not on the side of the proponents of AGW (Anthropogenic Global Warming).

Now, AGW cultists will deny this, but ALL of these steps are experimentally proven PHYSICS. Not computer modeling, not theory, but calculated, tested, and repeatably verified PHYSICS.

Well, that's the position of the video documentary that I supplied up above, The Great Global Warming Swindle... :-)

It's as I've put down in simplistic form...

sunspots --> solar winds --> cosmic rays --> clouds

as the mechanism for cooling and warming on this earth (in an abbreviated fashion)...

There are roughly 104 Universities in the UK. The two smaller universities that I knew well had about 100 scientists each (including published doctoral students here), but Oxford and Cambridge are huge. Got to be over ~ 10000 scientists just in Universities, never mind all the colleges and university wannabes.

Public sector and other non-University scientists: no idea. Plenty of people working for Glaxo, Pfizer etc.

So 1700 guys sign up - it’s just sad. You have to assume everybody in East Anglia who knew the first four figures of pi had to sign this cr*p.

Why is it that the people who know man-made global warming is a hoax called SKEPTICS, but the moonbats that claim fire cannot melt steel are called TRUTHERS?

Why it's for the same reason that we drive on PARKways and park on DRIVEways I suppose.

Do you think they will have enough time to make this happen? The clock is ticking, as every day more and more people realize that this is a real possibility. With all the policies they are pushing, do you think there will be enough time for them get this through? I really hope you will give me a resounding “no”, but I feel a “yes” coming.

You ask if they will have enough time to make this happen... while I ask, if I will be around when it happens. :-)

It's happening, is what I'm saying. As to how fast it's happening is something that is difficult to predict.

I think I will be around, but as we (many FReepers here) have talked about before on other threads, we don't count on being here, as the Rapture, told to us in the Bible, will make it so that we are not here.

And, "in the end" -- it's the removal of millions of Christians from this earth (for that last 7 years Tribulation spoken about) -- which is the mechanism which allows the one-world government to come in very quickly and without opposition.

I think it's within a few years... not more than a decade...

The other FReepers that I'm talking about -- some have frequented the Rapture Caucus thread where we do talk about it without a lot of interference. But, it's also discussed on many other threads, too... :-)

>>But, that’s not to say that I think that my vote or the votes of others will make a difference, because, in the long run (don’t know when exactly, next year, the year after... or...) — the one-world government will happen.

That first one-world government, I don’t support — but — I will fully support the second one-world government which comes after the first one... :-)
>>

You are assuming that there will only be ONE one-world government before the coming of the one established by Shiloh (the One to whom it belongs)
.. Otherwise, I fully agree with you.

The message to me is that I can't trust "scientists" from the UK. They are agenda driven whores who will do anything to keep the grant money coming. I left molecular biology and moved on to computer science because the prospect of living grant to grant for the rest of my life was repulsive. These scientists are living grant to grant and will do or say anything to make sure that isn't interrupted...including outright lies and fraud.

Yeah, that's the way I read it..., a one-world government embodied in one person.

And there will be several interim steps along the way -- of which, at each step, there will be multitudes who will be calling "that event" (i.e., the particular interim step, at the time) -- "the one-world government"... at that moment.

I would just say that it has to grow and build to its final form.

Ha! How many of these "scientists" actually are scientists? Not many, I'll bet.

I think 1700 scientists want to keep their jobs.

This is totally meaningless.
Unless...

The signatories are listed by valid profession.

Any idiot (as we have seen) can call himself or herself a climate "scientist."
James Hansen comes to mind.

Also show me how many how many scientists oppose the methodology and conclusion of the UN climate fraud crowd.

Deciphered Statement by OVER 1,700 Scientists: "DON'T listen to deniers and DON'T stop those government grants and free money coming for our BOGUS studies!"

Correct.
Consensus is NOT science.

Even us common folk know that.
These frauds and charlatans seem immune to the obvious.

I imagine that the priesthood would sign a similar letter if it were discovered that Jesus was a DNA match with Joseph and Mary really wasn’t a virgin. (Sorry for the sacrilege.)

Britain has turned their country over to the Muslims. They need money to support their folly. Nothing they say smacks of reality anymore.

That said, I know some Brits who are beside themselves over the ignorance.

British leftists have cooperated with Islam to achieve their goals. Both want to be in control. The Brit left is going to lose. A deadly gamble spawned by fools.
