His mother was an American citizen and thus he is considered natural born. This whole thing is silly.

Oops! Now you've done it! Prepare to incur the wrath of the "dual citizen" birthers who believe that the man popularly elected as President will get thrown out of office (and preferably imprisoned and then deported) based on the 18th century musings of a Swiss philosopher.

WTF does his mother being a citizen have to do with natural born? Why do you think the clause NATURAL BORN citizen was added for the president only. So he would have divided loyalties and obviously Barry boy does. His entire book was written about his long lost father who he never even knew.

Not necessarily. If he WAS born outside the US, she could not have conferred citizenship, as she had NOT resided IN the US the requisite five years after her 15th birthday, as she was only like 19 when he was born. If he WAS born in Hawaii, it would be OK but for that niggling little issue of his father’s citizenship, as a British subject. I’m thinking that a dual citizenship, with its divided loyalties, is NOT something the Founders would approve.
