American country singer Toby Keith says he won't apologize for supporting U.S. war efforts just hours before performing at the annual Nobel Peace Prize Concert.

Keith says he supports American troops who "fight evil" abroad and that he stands by President Barack Obama's decision to send more troops to Afghanistan. Obama is this year's Nobel Peace Prize laureate.

I'm very surprised that Keith was invited to this at all. I don't know who made the decision or who has veto power over it, but combined with his Nobel speech, maybe it's a sign that Obama finally realizes the bowing and scraping and the adoration by Euro-weenies are just making him look like a weakling.

I'm not surprised at all.

Keith came out in support of obama, he is nothing but a fence sitter.

Keith’s a good guy and a great supporter of the U.S. Military, but he has a screw loose when it comes to who he supports politically.

Alot of people were fooled by BO, but I'da never guessed Kieth would'da been one of 'em.

The two seem diametrically opposed, politically - could it have been an attempt to soften his image?

Keith has been an Obama supporter all along.

I'm mostly surprised that the Nobel people and Obama's people would agree to let a singer who openly supports the troops and the Afghanistan war perform at this event.

Don’t think thats true. He wasn’t thrilled with MCCain but said he would probably vote for him because of Palin....indicating that he likes Palin.

Link cites why its rumored that he supported Obama.

Haha. Toby Keith was invited to perform at the Nobel Peace Prize Concert? That’s hilarious.

“We’ll put a boot in your ass, its there American way! Uncle Sam put your name at the top of his list. The Statue of Liberty started shaking her fist ... there’s gonna be Hell when you hear mother freedom start ringing her bell. You’ll think the whole wide world was raining down on you. Brought to you courtesy of the Red, White and Blue.”

Somebody’s ass is getting fired for that one.

First Obama’s belligerent rhetoric. Then a singer he brought along sings glory to war. Must mean there is trouble in paradise. Democrat internal polls are not looking good, especially in light of the butt whooping VA and NJ.

That's what makes me angry. zero is trying to do the right thing for the wrong reasons. He saw his poll numbers sinking fast so he changed course to help himself. He doesn't believe in the mission. This was just another staged event so he brought in Toby instead of Bruce. It's all about the O

Toby Keith supports the troops.

How in the world he supports O is a mystery. That said, peer pressure is alive and well in the entertainment industry.

Nobody believes for a moment Obama meant a single thing he said in yesterday’s speech, other than apologizing for America’s sins. Independents are fleeing the Democrats en masse and this is a desperate attempt to slow it down.
