Greek Orthodox, Mormons and Roman Catholic are considered Christians.

Gee, I'm real glad I passed your litmus test for who is "considered" a Christian.

May I remind you that the Greek Orthodox Church is one of the oldest Christian churches on Earth.

I don't think we need to be "considered" Christians, by you or anyone else.

No you didn't, because I don't have one. Just posted what I believe to be true. If you notice, I replied to someone that DIDN'T include those denominations as Christians.

Having a personal relationship w/God is what Christianity is all about - so how do I know what any person does - thus, IMO, no litmus test. Other than, we will know them by their fruits. We are judged by our heart, (no one can fool God), so being affiliated with the oldest or youngest church means nothing.
Besides, it's all about what Jesus did at The Cross - and reading and hearing more about some who 'consider' themselves Christians - they have doubts about Jesus.

I don't think we need to be "considered" Christians, by you or anyone else.

Yet, you made it a point to do just that - and how old your church is as proof. I am a Christian and I am considered a Christian. Being thin-skinned is about it is not a fruit, IMO.

Merry Christmas.

There seem to be a lot of fundamentalist protestants on FR who have a very narrow world view. They live in regions that are 90% protestant, and probably haven't encountered many non-protestants in their everyday lives. When they encounter non-protestants on the Internet they don't see them as real Christians, but probably weird cults.

It would probably shock them to learn that fundamentalist Protestants are actually the smallest of the three major types of Christians in the world, after Catholics and Orthodox (both of which predate protestantism by 1500+ years)

Part of the reason they ignore Orthodox Christians is that the orthodox are only 3.5% of Christians in the U.S., though worldwide there are least 300 million orthodox, and Eastern Orthodoxy is the second largest Christian communion in the world.
