A controversial NHS pilot is providing the contraceptive pill to teenage girls without prescription in pharmacies.
Southwark and Lambeth, two inner-city areas in London with the highest teenage pregnancy rates, are the first to try the approach.
Experts have warned the government is struggling to meet its target of halving teenage pregnancies by 2010.
But opponents said there was no evidence providing the pill over the counter would make a difference.

What they don't recognize is that this will tend to make girls MORE promiscuous than they are already.
And risking the side effects of the pill without medical supervision...especially for teenaged girls who don't have much of a clue anyway.
(And then of course, there's the fact that the pill is an abortifacient...)
The pill isn't what is causing the promiscuity.
And it isn't "sex education" per se that is even causing the promiscuity.
It is the TYPE of sex education that is pushed globally. It is funded by the Sex Positive agenda. Outfits like Planned Parenthood and SEICUS and other organizations.
Based on the writings of Kinsey, Reich, and feminists.
It seeks to encourage sexual activity (the much discussed "promiscuity) at ever age. They are only doing what the schools, doctors, and governments are instructing them to. Experiment. No moral judgements on any sexual activity regardless of sex, age, relation, number, or species of partner(s).
GoAskAlice is but a taste of such "information" that is pushed on youth.
And the Sex Positive proponents don't stop there. Some are decided anti-Christian going so far as to declare that church teachings are "sex negative".
The culture war is being waged globally. The homosexual agenda is just the battering ram to the establishment's laws and morals to open the floodgates for the whole "slippery slope" sex positive agenda.
They oppose abstinence in principal. Not because it "doesn't work" but because they find it to be an unhealthy supression of the birthright of sexual pleasure and a denial of sexual desires.
I'm not sure if that's possible.

“Just Say Yes is an irreverent and unabashed sex education guide for teens”
“We have a quick and easy online tour through the most important topics for teens who are sexually active now or just thinking about having sex. It’s called “Just Say Yes” (en español: “¡Di Que Sí!”) because we’re tired of people telling us what we can and can’t do. There’s no preaching. No moralizing. Just the facts.”
Well, in a manner of speaking I agree. But it is like a permission slip...I can follow the "Sex Positive" agenda without any consequences.
After all, it wasn't pure coincidence that there was a sexual revolution in the 60s, vice the 50s or the 70s.
According to the 2001 census, Lambeth has a population of 266,169. 62% of the borough is White, 12% Black Caribbean and 12% Black African. 37% of householders are owneroccupiers. Lambeth has the highest population density of the Inner London boroughs. It also has a high unemployment rate and crime levels are also high. It has the highest number of homicides in any of the London boroughs.
As a professional aviator, I take some offense to this title.
Is it really possible to make UK teens more promiscuous? If anyone has ever lived in England, you know what I mean. A virgin in the UK is an ugly girl under the age of 10. Still, I am against handing out contraceptives to teenage girls. It gives tacit approval to immoral behavior.
Some other interesting trivia...
One of the principal landmarks in Lambeth is Lambeth Palce, the residence of the Archbishop of Canterbury. He sponsors regular conferences among representatives of the Worldwide Anglican Communion, known as the Lambeth Conferences.
At the seventh such conference, in 1930, the Anglican Communion became the very first Christian denomination to approve the use of contraceptives. (1930 Lambeth Resolution #15)
How's that for irony?
I wouldn't think that it isn't advisable to go mucking about supressing biological functions (like hormones and fertility) right as the body is going through changes (puberty) to carry a woman through the next phase of life.
But then the fertility gods have brought us fertility treatments that give us a bounty of twin and triplet births.
Science has no problem that scientists can't make greater.
Sounds like a great place to cut down on the number of little ones having little ones. There are a couple of sections in DC they should pilot that program in, too.
I rather get the feeling the Brits don’t care anymore. They, like America, are a dying society.
William Reich preached “orgone” theories. Cosmic rays and the energy released through the orgasm.
Columbia University runs a website called “Go Ask Alice”. All sexual questions are taken from people at all ages. Nothing is off limits. Want to have sex with a dog? They won’t pass judgement as you ask safety concerns.

As I say, the sex positive agenda is institutionalized in our universities, government, and medical centers.
Our tax dollars fund pushing this radical agenda. And it isn’t just a culture war being waged in the US.
I’m aware of the book. And the line from the Jefferson Airplane song “White Rabbit”.
But this website’s been up and running over a decade now and it linked to many medical information sites public and private.
Dr. Laura and others have pointed out the type of content that can be found there.
