SALT LAKE CITY Utah police are putting more investigators into the search for a 28-year-old mother whose disappearance has been termed "highly suspicious."
Since Susan Powell was reported missing Monday, authorities have questioned her husband and searched a desert area where he said he took the couple's two young children, ages 2 and 4, camping last weekend in freezing conditions.

Dad of the missing mom was so pitiful sounding.
Then they showed a "tearful" husband saying any help in finding his wife would be appreciated....
The scuzzbag did it himself. Am sure.
The murder of wives by their husbands is an epidemic in this country.
May God help and support this lady’s family and loved ones....
It would seem suspicious. Who would take children campaing in freezing weather?
The story he told certainly doesn’t sound credible. At this point, he ought to be the prime suspect.
Sounds very similar to that guy who killed his pregnant wife (San Francisco) ....
My sister used to do it all the time. Deep snow and no campfire.
The kids, now grown up, don’t like to camp.
Wonder why?
Exactly.
And did hear in that report that the couple was having some “marital problems.”
They will get him soon.
We had a local murder here of a woman by her husband - mother of two young children also. She was found dead after going missing - and he claimed she went jogging and some mysterious person killed her. She was found in her jogging clothes at a deserted site near her home - supposdly on her jogging route.
His trial has not started yet.
The wife/mom went missing in July 2008 and the husband was - finally - charged with her murder in October of 2008.

It’s just sickening - this keeps happening.
Yes - from the report - it sounded as if he is the prime suspect. But obviously they have to find some evidence to charge him.
I hope they do charge him before he attempts to flee the scene.
The report indicated these little children are not with him at this time. Thank GOD!!!
I don’t know that one - just know these keep happening - almost a week doesn’t go by without a new crime reported either husband kills wife/mom or girlfriend.
Usually these end up as murder suicides.
At least the scumbag didn’t kill the children.
At midnight. The husband is way guilty. If you spend 10 seconds watching the guy speak, it’s easy to tell he killed her.
I always wait until the jury comes in. Lots of jump to conclusions happen - I’ve seen it to many times where a verdict is pronounced and the opposite was the case ...
I certainly got that impression. His story was pretty pathetic as well.
I hear what you’re saying but I just got a gut feeling in this case. I suspect the husband will either be charged or cleared pretty quickly.
Happens the other way too.
Had a woman here who almost killed her husband by slowly poisoning him with antifreeze in his coffee. He's a mental case.
Another woman cut off the arms of her infant with a knife because God told her to do so.
Both should have been given the death penalty. They got slaps on the wrist because of their gender. Mental illness when it is a woman trying to kill her husband or kids (lame excuse). The other way around, the man is always a monster and mental illness has nothing to do with it.
In short, there are plenty of domestic violence crimes committed by women too.
When we were kids we went camping one night a month in all weather conditions. My parents owned a very large tract of woodlands which they allowed the Boy Scouts and Cub Scouts to use.
In retrospect I grew up not being afraid of the elements (cautious though!!!)
“The murder of wives by their husbands is an epidemic in this country.”
They’ll be right at home under Sharia.
I'm sad that I have to agree with you.
No joke. I live in Ogden, UT. All this week, the morning lows have been in the single digits with high temps in the teens, with about 4 inches of snow on the ground. Who would take a 2 and 4 year old camping in that? You’d think he would tell the authorities that the wife went to visit her out-of-state relatives and never arrived but I guess people who do this aren’t generally very smart.
