I spoke with a customer in Northern California yesterday. She moaned that she lived in a place with the highest cost of living in the country and that sales taxes had just been raised, again. She mentioned that her husband might lose his job. I asked if Californians were going to change their politicians in the next election.
“Oh, I’m not very political.” she replied. However, there had been a telling pause before her comment.
It was business and so, I let it slide. But, either people are not aware of the connection between politics and the economy or they are too afraid to recognize the connection publicly. I believe it is the latter.
Things will have to get a whole lot worse before any change occurs, IMO, but please note is now Sunday and Rasmussen has zerO’s strong approval/strong disapproval at -19!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This Taibbi kid is one of the foulest pieces of trash in journalism—which is no mean feat—like being the tallest guy in the NBA-lots of serious competition.
Read some of his RS columns from last year and this year—he goes way beyond the pale in his attacks on the GOP, conservatives, Christians—the usual. Of course he’s prim and quiet as a Quaker schoolmarm about Islam, black sociopathology etc.
Oh and he’s another nepotism beneficiary—his daddy is with NBC News—like MoDo, Pinch, and some of these other creeps
