Dems Cancel Copenhagen Trip

Socializing another huge chunk of the U.S. economy is more important than saving the planet:

Senator John Kerry, Democrat of Massachusetts and chairman of the Foreign Relations Committee, told colleagues on Saturday that Democrats could not send a delegation to the United Nations climate change conference in Copenhagen.

“It doesn’t look like we’re going -– not as a delegation,” Mr. Kerry told colleagues as a he left the Senate chamber after a vote on a package of spending measures. “Harry needs the people here on health care.”

Harry is the Senate majority leader, Harry Reid of Nevada, and to say that Mr. Reid needs his caucus members in Washington for the health care debate is an understatement.

Several senators had hoped to attend the conference, including Barbara Boxer of California, the chairwoman of the Environment and Public Works Committee, and many members of her panel.

So it seems like Hanoi John, (hey John, some of us are still waiting for you to issue your military release form)... has come to a conclusion that he is needed more in the Capital for the next week then for him to help champion his global warming support in Copenhagen Denmark. I am sure he is not concerned that his wife and himself might freeze their what ever off as the temperatures will plunge in that city in the next few days. Perhaps he might be worried she might freeze to death if they are caught in a blizzard or their limo was to crap out as the temps dropped into the low teens, as she slugged away on the bottle and slowly let all her heat out. Then again. If she kicks the bucket. Surely he is in store for millions and millions.... then again. Maybe not. Anyway. It seems like as usual anytime the going gets tough, Hanoi John finds excuses to part from the scene.

I'm aware of the early report for the 17 degree drop, I mentioned it in some other threads, but surely thanks for reminding us all, things are not going well in the land of dikes. What they need is a full blown week long snow blizzard with low temps dropping into the zero range or lower at night.
What the hell. The good people of Canada, upper USA, Asia are all how freezing, why should they remain sheltered.
A storm so bad that zero's plane must be turned around and returned to Andrews AFB would not be a bad idea as well.
The shit heads that should be in jail cells years back must finally be challenged. Not only for what you mention to be true, but for all the really horrible things these type clowns on the left, driven by communists and socialists principles would have befallen on this Republic. Sadly. However. It is also people with no real ideology in particular that are driven by pure greed to become filthy rich at the expense of others. Those in some industries that move to the top, forget their humble origins, forget a strong free democratic, well governed United States is good for all. A place where honest free enterprise principles, self regulating with country first in mind, can allow for many to realize the long held hope many of us have labeled the American dream. Advance within the bounds of the laws, according to ones abilities and talents.
To many would suck the life out of this approaching divine principle where so many have realized the blessing through hard work, and suck the cream off the top at the expense of all in this juncture in time. It is a sad state of affairs.
IMHO, it really has been going on for a long time. To many in America as well as the rest of the free westernized nations have for to long been ill informed at those that control things at the top, money (banks for one, as well as huge industrial complexes), to the extent many in governments world wide have partook of the evil fruits of self enrichment through deals of all sorts at all levels.
Perhaps at least for a while. This newest scam, AGW shall be hog tied. We shall see in the next few years if things can be slightly improved on many fronts.

It does get very cold in Denmark - and a damp cold. Ladies do not wear legs with only nylons as they freeze to the skin.

However, according to my native Copenhagen friend, they don’t normally get much snow.

Will. You got my attention before I sign off. I have to hit the sack. I am very aware of every thing going on for many years within our country on this issue. I am with you in your sentiments (well founded). Perhaps some of our Republican Senators along with Senator Inholfe will be able to shame the rest of the Senate with some solid facts and keep at least our Senate from continuing to be solid assholes and anti-American, as well as totally ill informed on all issues relating to AGW and for that matter the whole GW scam, since it is simply that. The sun cycles, 11, 22, etc., deep outer space radiation bombardment on the upper atmosphere, (I am being very brief as well as generic), and solar motions of the earth ...wobble.... it gets very complicated.............show us there is no simply cause and effect for global warming and global cooling during each phase of each on earth.
It is high time all the assholes on the Hill are brought into at least a simple educations, and somehow, not sure we can stop the clowns within the EPA and elsewhere among the zero crowed to back off.

Correct, you weren’t there. And, like many who weren’t there, you have managed to come up with observations made by NO ONE who was there.

I was there. And I, along with the 24-25 others who were there, have never said the guy Kerry killed was unarmed. In fact, he had a B-40.

No one has said he was shot by the twin-50. In fact, that guy was wounded in the leg by the forward M-60, as mentioned in the after-action report. He was able to get up and run. When shot by Kerry he was turned back toward the boat.
