I like Santorum, and in the past I sent him donations. But this is a lousy idea. How about running for Senator again? Or pitching in and helping Sarah?

He did one lousy thing—let his arm be twisted and supported Snarlin Arlen. You can find reasons for that, and Bush and Rove were the arm twisters. Arlen did actually help put through a couple of good SCOTUS choices, after Bush went astray between them, so maybe he was right.

But he just isn’t up to this, IMHO. I’d love to see him back in the Senate, and with Obama trying to kill the coal industry, maybe he might have some chance of doing it.

Earlier this year, when Specter was still a GOPer, there was talk of Santorum mounting a primary challenge to Specter. Of course, that was only to split the vote against Toomey.

Now Santorum is pondering a Presidential run to split the vote for a RINO. Santorum is an inside the beltway yes man.

Well put....Wish I had thought it through this way, initially....My first reaction was "Buzz off!"...There is the issue of "amnesty" as well...

I agree with you. Santorum did one thing negative to conservatives, and they will never forgive him. Btw, he endorsed Apecter, but he wasnt the only one who voted for him in the primary then in the general.

And who were the people voting for Specter over Toomey? Most conservatives I know vote their conscience, not based on endorsements. So either there were ind/dems voting (likely) or these tough guy conservatives actually were convinced to vote for Spector because one man’s opinion.
