Contrast the DMN article with some real reporting:
http://www.telegraph.co.uk/earth/copenhagen-climate-change-confe/6815470/Copenhagen-climate-summit-Al-Gore-condemned-over-Arctic-ice-melting-prediction.html
And of course we knew about this yesterday:

It occurs to me that I heard this even early then this post suggests, maybe on Drudge.

Par for the course. The article at this link is an excellent explanation for why the DMN is circling the drain. "The Republic used to be a middle of the road newspaper until Keven Willey became editorial page editor in 1998. Under her lead, the paper took a hard turn to the left. Willey left in 2002 to become editorial page editor of the Dallas Morning News. That newspaper has had a steep decline in circulation throughout Willey's tenure, most recently decreasing 11.7% since 2007. http://spectator.org/archives/2008/11/07/the-newspaper-belongs-in-the-t

No one is going to start fact checking the hysteric claims by Al Gore now. He’s BEYOND the supposed loon mark that we are told Sen. McCarthy reached.
But his credibility is not to be questioned.
