Britain's relations with Israel have been plunged into crisis after the Jewish state angrily denounced an attempt in London to arrest its former foreign minister, Tzipi Livni.

The Israeli foreign ministry summoned Tom Phillips, the British ambassador to Tel Aviv, to protest at her treatment and give warning that diplomatic ties had been badly damaged.

Here's an "Arrest Warrant" I found on google search. Sounds like typical marxist propaganda from the Code Pink wackos:

-----------------------------------------------------------------

On the 12th of July 2006, the suspect along with her accomplices ordered the aerial bombardment and artillery assault on residential areas in Lebanon. For 34 days she authorized troops to make 12,000 aerial sorties, to fire 100,000 artillery shells, damaging 350 schools and destroying 15,000 houses in Lebanon. 130,000 homes were partially damaged. The attacks destroyed water sources, hospitals, power stations and other infrastructure essential to life. 900,000 people were forced to leave their homes and remain without shelter for many days. Some 1,200 people were killed, and 4,400 were wounded: approximately 30% of the dead, about 360, were children under the age of 13.

On 27th December 2008, the suspect and her accomplices ordered an aerial, ground and naval attack on densely populated areas in the Gaza Strip. The attacks again damaged houses, hospitals, schools and infrastructure, and killed more than 1,300 people, including hundreds of children. 20,000 houses were partially destroyed and 50,000 people were made homeless as a result of the suspects orders.

Attacking innocent people, shooting indiscriminately into residential areas, causing injuries, destroying essential infrastructure such as water, electrical plants and hospitals are all prohibited under International law and are war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Description of the suspect: a white woman, 50 years old, above average height, blonde hair.

Britain has officially issued an apology for this embarrassing mistake.

I have said this before here, but unless you've had the ability to travel through Europe - not just the "touristy" places, but all of it - you can't have a real appreciation for the Antisemitism there. It's quite visceral.

I wonder if Rumsfeld has traveled outside the US since he left office. I know Bush has been to Canada, but I don't see him traveling any place outside of the US, with the exception of perhaps a few countries in Africa, a couple in Asia and some eastern European countries. But for the rest, I think that what happened to Livni in the UK (of all places), is a real possibility for Bush, Cheney and Rumsfeld

“Britain has officially issued an apology for this embarrassing mistake.”

So the arrest warrant is no longer valid?

This is PC insanity and an attempt to appease the Pali's. Kudos to Bibi.

She may be to the left, but to her credit, before she entered politics, she was a Mossad agent.

It was only rescinded when it was realized she wasn’t in the country — which means every Israeli official who goes to Britain is theoretically in danger of arrest...

England hates Israel - they now want products from Israel and those of the Palestinians to be marked as such so products from Israel can be boycotted.

Happy Hanukkah

“England hates Israel - they now want products from Israel and those of the Palestinians to be marked as such so products from Israel can be boycotted”

That’s a gross oversimplification. It would be like saying America hates Israel because Obama does.

The usual leftist agitators may “want” that.

Maybe it’s time for such an exam of British behavior during the “troubles” in Northern Ireland. No statute of limitations on war crimes.

Ok then, the government hates Israel? I mean they’re the ones who want to discriminate against products from Israel. I read the original story here - http://www.bigcampaign.org/index.php?page=who_sells_israeli_goods

If anyone tries this for an American official such as Bush, Rumsfeld, etc,,, the official should deplane as scheduled and let them arrest him. It should be immediate cause for war. As in honest-to-God war, Marines land the next day and announce they are moving into London to take him home. Any resistance should meet the full fury.

We will need a real president though.
England has forgotten what it’s like to be attacked.
