Palin supports McCain '100 percent' [Palin pushes back at TMZ 'disprespect' meme]
Politico ^ | Dec. 16, 2009 | Mike Allen

Posted on 12/16/2009 4:38:39 PM PST by Al B.

Declaring that she “was honored and proud to run with him,” former Alaska governor Sarah Palin pushed back hard Wednesday against a report that she had disrespected Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.) by blacking out his name on a sun visor she wore on vacation.

The website TMZ accused Palin of “a frontal attack on Sen. John McCain” during a Hawaii vacation this week: “Sarah chose to wear a visor from her campaign -- a visor that was emblazoned with the former presidential candidate's name ... that is, until Palin redacted McCain's name with a black marker.”

But Palin said in a statement to POLITICO that she was just trying to “be incognito” -- to go unrecognized and shield her children and husband, Todd, from paparazzi.

The hotel where she was staying had to chase away five photographers, a friend said.

Palin said in the statement to POLITICO: “I am so sorry if people took this silly incident the wrong way. I adore John McCain, support him 100 percent and will do everything I can to support his reelection. As everyone knows, I was honored and proud to run with him. And Todd and I were with him in D.C. just a week ago. So much for trying to be incognito."

The Palins were taking a break from a three-and-a-half-week book tour for her million-copy-selling memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life.” Palin has signed more than 59,000 books -- an average of 1,750 per stop -- and has traveled more than 19,000 miles by plane and bus. She has spent 115 hours -- or 4.8 days -- signing books in 33 cities in 25 states. Her stops have included five military bases.

Because Sarah is a class act. Read her book, she has strong admiration for McCain, she will never throw him under the bus like his campaign staff did to her. She has more class then all of them put together

I don’t like it either, but that’s the how I think she feels about it. We should wait and see what happens. I suspect she will throw her support until after the primaries and not before.

The funny part is, If McCant's name was on my visor, I'd cross it off too.

As far as thinking this will "come back to haunt her", I don't think it will; most everyone knows that Sarah's name on the ticket was the only surge McCant got, and then he blue it by chasing obama back to Washington to act like a bobble-head doll, nodding the TARP bill into existence.

I was VERY disappointed in the fact that he did not vehemently oppose that bill. He probably couldn't have stopped it, but it would have went a long way in showing his differences from obama.

I would not be surprised to find that in the world of state sponsored journalism, there is a BIG REWARD awaiting the typewriter turd who brings down Palin. They are analyzing everything from her nail polish to her shoe strings in an effort to find something that sticks.

The problem is, Palin's leadership and sterling integrity outshine anything they've been able to throw at her, including tomatoes.

Just ask one question, if John McCant was running against Sarah Palin, which would you vote for? I'd rather have integrity and honesty than all the years in congress and all the hero medals they made.

I think we all should buy visors, write McCant's name on it, "X" his name out, and write Sarah's next to it...just for the next tea party, ya know. You Betcha.

But it could cost us a seat in the Senate that could go to an actual conservative. Plus (and THIS, as opposed to the potential loss of the seat, I don’t hold Sarah personally responsible for) McCain deserves to be punished for all the harm he’s done over the years.

That RINO put Palin on the ticket. We wouldn’t know her name if he hadn’t done that. Yes it would be classless to throw him under the bus. I suspect you don’t know the difference between Classy and Classless....

Sarah is Classy....

Wow. Finally something I disagree with Palin on. It was bound to happen.

A very simple truth. But the Freepers who support, Mitt Say Anything Romney, Ron Paul, or Mike Huckleberry, will try to find anything against her. These posts are hilarious and obvious examples.

Sarah Palin has more class than the rats and their media mice can handle.
Those vermin wouldn’t know “class” if it stepped on their tails.

Very true. But...worth a critical Senate seat? No freaking way. Like I said, put him out to pasture in some ceremonial post that allows her to say thank you, and mean it, without selling out the other 300,000,000 Americans.

Agreed. If you keep track of the "tsk tsk" scumbags who posted on this thread, you'll generally see the same names pop up on other, similar threads where some desperate rat media mouse thinks he's breached Sarah's armor.

Glad she came out for McCain!

I don’t care what you call it, loyalty is a good thing.

JD Hayworth is a dud!

So, now Sarah is a Sellout. Whey you attack Sarah, you should disclose who it is that you support. And calling her a sellout is certainly an attack....

Is that you Mitt?

I didn’t say sellout. I said, and not in so many words, that she’s making the wrong decision, missing the opportunity to make the right decision for everyone.

I mentioned JD Hayworth as being preferable to McCain. Can’t you read? What the hell is wrong with you? You write like you need to up your meds or something. “Refuting” things I never said and asking questions I already answered.

And I wouldn’t support Willard the Giant Rat if he were running against Satan.
