There are many issues over which I express concern, illegal immigration being one of them as my parents were both LEGAL immigrants, and the push for amnesty is an insult to me and to my family.

Newbie, clearly you have not seen the recent Rasmussen poll in which the generic Tea Party candidate topped the generic Republican candidate by over five points.
Newbie, clearly you do not realize that the Republican Party is now the THIRD PARTY in the court of public opinion.
The sooner you get off your script of RNC talking points and start using the brain cells that God gave you, the sooner you will realize that the Republican Party needs the Tea Party folks more than the Tea Party folks need the Republican Party.
And, frankly, if I were one of the Tea Party folks, I wouldn't be so quick as to get back on my knees for the same Republican Party that has as of late only found its spine after being thrown out of power by the electorate and that has demonstrated its ability to throw conservatives and libertarians under the bus when it actually is in power.
