First thing Republican Tea Party members need to do in order to gain control of the movement is rid it of the Ron Paul types of which there are a small but vocal minority. Next, we need to get participants registered as Republicans and involved in the GOP. Then, we need to marginalize those calling for the creation of a third party. Finally, we need to marginalize the purists who will not support candidates unless they agree with 99.99% of their beliefs. Failure to do these things will lead to the downfall of the Tea Party movement.

Let me make this clear: If the Tea Party is not absorbed into the GOP, the Tea Party and conservative movements are finished for a long time.

Newbie, clearly you have not seen the recent Rasmussen poll in which the generic Tea Party candidate topped the generic Republican candidate by over five points.

Newbie, clearly you do not realize that the Republican Party is now the THIRD PARTY in the court of public opinion.

The sooner you get off your script of RNC talking points and start using the brain cells that God gave you, the sooner you will realize that the Republican Party needs the Tea Party folks more than the Tea Party folks need the Republican Party.

And, frankly, if I were one of the Tea Party folks, I wouldn't be so quick as to get back on my knees for the same Republican Party that has as of late only found its spine after being thrown out of power by the electorate and that has demonstrated its ability to throw conservatives and libertarians under the bus when it actually is in power.

I too am a Palin supporter but I also like all the freepers this posters was attacking...one doesn’t have to love Sarah just because I do.
