Lord Monckton confronting a member of greenpeace with her ignorance!
In the video reactions is a vid of a confrontation between Lord Monckton and some american global warming protesters
100 reasons why climatechange is natural http://pontificus.com/2009/12/climate... Global warming / climate change is a scam!!! check the facts!!
What is the point in her stressing the Zero before the first decimal place?
It was fabulous how he pinned the Hitler Youth tag on those ditzes in orange T-shirts. They didn't know what hit them. His retort to the kid claiming he was exempt because he was Jewish was hilarious: something like "Well, then you should be especially sensitives about groups behaving just like Hitler Youth".
Great post. Every member of Green Peace should listen to this. You wlll never hear such an objective interview anywhere else!
Monckton has the patience of a Saint and the talent to be one helluva prosecutor.
Another useful idiot.
Nothing. A lot of people site a decimal number as zero point something.
> What is the point in her stressing the Zero before the first decimal place?
It’s a convention of scientific numeric notation.
> Every member of Green Peace should listen to this.
Ah, yes, but as Lord Monkton reveals in this interview, it is NOT the facts that they seek. They are BELIEVERS. It is all based on faith in what their elite masters tell them, not based on any real scientific data.
? OK. I just drop the zero if it holds no value.
0.1 and .l are the same thing as is .10 or .100
But I will say this, the leaked/hacked e-mails and the current debate have destroyed credibility for AGW. My brother, a dyed-in-the-wool west coast liberal and former follower of the Goreacle was, just this week, telling me about how global warming was "bs" and the science behind it was weak at best and fraudulent at worst. We used to have huge fights about this topic just months ago. I was stunned, my jaw was literally hanging open as he was giving his little spiel on our car ride to the mall.
I just said, that if folks feels it's a threat, they should seek to themselves to make things better, and not use the government to coerce folks into action.
> 0.1 and .l
Which expression is easier to see?
> the same thing as is .10 or .100
Scientifically speaking, 0.1 is a floating point number expressing a value between 0.05 and 0.14.
0.10 expresses a value between 0.095 and 0.104.
Numeric precision is determined by the number of significant digits in the expression.
It just seems weird if she is making expressions in tenths of a degree to express a whole degree unit.
I understand scientific notation. It just seems to serve no point in what she was expressing.
> I often measure things out to 10-15
Glad you’re on our side!
