I read an article; unfortunately I can't find it now, but it said that he had a revolver and a semi-auto handgun. I believe the article identified both but I don't recall the make and model of either gun. The guy was a felon with a very violent past. He was not allowed to own any type of firearm. How much good did banning him from having a gun do? A law abiding citizens who knows the proper use of concealed carry is providing protection for more than just themselves. Which would you rather have, a police officer responding 10 minutes after you have been victimized and possibly killed or a good citizen on scene who is carrying and knows how to use a firearm? It is a no-brainer. The police can't be everywhere. The bad guys are pretty good at avoiding them Sorry I know I am preaching to the choir here.

One of my pet peeves also. Unfortunately the term is used extensively in WA state, even among long time gun owners (who should know better).
