I'm just happy they kept the “And finally tonight...” segment at the end. The one last night, courtesy of Jay Leno, was a hoot.

Having that segment is just the right balance with the serious news and debate. We need something like that what with all the bad stuff coming out of Washington.

The TV term for that is a ‘kicker’ and it’s common among almost all newscasts.
