As of now, I would choose DeMint, but I don’t fall in love with politicians. Most of them eventually let us down ;-)

Sounds like Hayworth is gathering support, getting more attention to draw support. He can’t go wrong w/ Issa, a strong conservative. I sincerely hope Palin will wean herself away from McRat & focus on this really important effort to strip him of his power in AZ & the Senate.

Here's Thune's overall record...
He votes the "right way" on 90% of the issues, HOWEVER - he betrayed us some major ones -- including helping the Dems destroy Bolton, betraying us on ANWR drilling when he joined the "gang of 10" compromise, is a pro big-spending/government handouts Republican, and vocally endorses people like John McCain and Mark Kirk in the primary over decent conservatives.
When other Senators have that kind of track record, they're bashed mercililess on this forum and the fact they are solidly pro-life, pro-gun, pro-family etc. doesn't earn them a pass.
But Thune is "good looking" and "has a nice family", so I guess that makes him "one of the good guys", and deserving of a promotion to the Presidency.
Oh course when Lindsey Graham compiles a virtually identical record in the Senate, but is NOT good looking and doesn't have a cute family, he's homosexual RINO scum.
Hope that clears up the inconsistencies on FR. Apparently if you look and sound good on TV, it's OK to stab us in the back and be a McCain cheerleader. Otherwise it's not okay.

Thune’s passionate love of pork, his deplorable behavior blocking of the Bolton nomination, and pro-bailout votes show he is not the kind of President we need.
So the bottom line -- why is John Thune continually called a "solid conservative", "one the good guys", and a "likely presidential pick" on FR when he's just as much of a McCain brown noser, and his lifetime Senate voting record is actually to LEFT of Lindsey?
Any ideas, alarm rider?
Perhaps it's because he doesn't prance about openly stabbing conservatives in the face every few days.
Ah, he just quietly stabs conservatives in the back behind the scenes while falsely portraying himself as "Mr. Conservative" in public.
That's actually worse in my book.
I also rate the Bolton lynching as worse than shamnesty, in that shamnesty blew up in their faces, but the Bolton lynching succeeded in ruining a great dipolmat's career.
Though Thune admitted during the Bolton lynching that he didn't intend it as a one time thing and would become a permanent thorn in the side of conservatives if he didn't get his way on Ellsworth Air Force Base. Fortunately for him, most of this forum has amneseia.
Now all you have to tell me is that the rest are homos, and have 16 year old boyfriends. Is there anyone in a country of 300 + million who is clean enough to run for POTUS? I’m going to bed.

Thune is not acceptable unless you are cool with pork, bailouts, and the !contemptible! Bolton blocking.
I have to rate Graham and Thune roughly the same. Both are mostly conservative but each has major deficiencies.
I will not vote for anyone who is not 100%
no amnesty for illegals. Everyone has their own litmus test. This is mine.
Lindsey is RINO scum. I am not a Thune fan, nor a fan of any alleged Republican that votes like a democrat. Yes, Lindsey is RINO scum and he needs to be retired by the people of SC.
