Leaders, Activists Throwing in the Towel in Copenhagen

COPENHAGEN — Has Copenhagen collapsed?

That seems to be the growing sentiment inside the city's Bella Conference Center, where officials, environmentalists and even delegates to the international climate conference began streaming out Friday evening. What began with excitement and anticipation two weeks ago ended Friday night with disappointment and anger for thousands.

"This is a sad day for my country," said Mama Konate, chief delegate from the West African nation of Mali. "We have worked very hard to reach this agreement. And now it seems over. Without a deadline, I don't know if we will ever finish."

The conference, the largest of its kind, attracted scientists, activists and human rights supporters from every corner of the globe, who believe that without a climate accord limiting greenhouse gases, glaciers will melt, oceans will rise and the weather will go so warm it could wipe out 50 percent of the Earth's species. Until Friday, they saw Copenhagen as their last chance to stop it.

"You can scapegoat the process. That wasn't it. It was the unwillingness of people to move around big issues: China on verification, the U.S. on deeper emission cuts," said the head of an NGO that does relief work in Africa.

Like rain on your wedding day...

Rain on your wedding day is supposedly good luck. Happened at mine. And in July of all months.

Me and the wife are going on fifteen years now, with four beautiful kids to show for it.

Pound sand, you grubbing little thieves.

Why should our sweat and effort go to benefit some third-world toilet in Africa instead of our own families and communities?

BS

zero and the rats are about to rip us off for another $800B. They stiffed the copie dopies because, combined with the tenuousness of the subject due to warminggate, they knew that obligating the U.S. to more huge sums to flush down the crapper would be a bridge too far. Thus, it came down to them asking themselves which is more important: more ill-gotten gains paid to themselves or more ill-gotten gains paid abroad to fatten the pockets of some blood-thirsty tyrant reminescent of Genghis Khan?

MAYBE it’s a great day. We don’t know yet what little side deals zero and the hildebeast made with King Mogo Jambe Ooga Booga for payments to and then kickbacks to themselves and their cronies that we’re presently unaware of.

And the countries from Africa especially are doing WHAT to turn their countries from socialized cesspools of crime, violence, genocide, hatred, disease, corruption & graft, into countries that people would actually want to live there. It is amazing how the golden period for Africa was the colonial era from 1850 - 1964. I was in the Congo from 1972-73 on a short term missions trip, and it was incredible how the Belgians had helped to make Congo a beautiful country, accessible with roads and well laid out villages. But the Belgians left in 1964 when Congo got its independence, and within just a few years, the jungle had reclaimed 90% of the roads & villages, and civil war & violence decimated the rest. The same can be said for South Africa and Zimbabwe (formerly Rhodesia, the bread basket & crown jewel of Africa). What a beautiful, rich continent to be turned into socialist nightmares & cesspools. So African countries, HEAL THYSELF and quit looking for handouts.

The African countries reverted to what they were for untold thousands of years before. Modern socialist theory just facilitated the change. After all, socialism is just another form of tribalism.

Commies without tanks are not happy commies.

They played nice and nothing was accomplished.

Makes me wonder what comes next.

You got that right!!! Plus in the midst of the tribalism & warfare, you NEVER want to get caught in the middle of any violence. The black Africans get high on drugs & alcohol and literally go into killing frenzies, like piranhas, killing & hacking anything in sight with machetes, axes & knives, plus raping any women or girls they can find. They're too poor to afford bullets, so the machete is the favored weapon of choice.

Here's another excerpt relating to that:
Boys are taught to hate their enemies, and because they are ambivalent about their masculinity to prepare for a life of fighting (anthropologists who report “peaceful” tribes like the San Bushmen have been disproven).128 In fact, many African tribes have been measured to have fifty times the homicide rate as modern nations, with the majority of males admitting to committing at least one homicide.129 As the !Kung explain it, they often go into alternate states (alters) when “the n/um lifts you in your belly and makes you tremble…you experience death, you give up who you are…you are reborn...the boy becomes a man, the man a hero.” and they go out and find someone to kill.130 Before violent outbursts, Africans are often possessed by their inner spirit selves, “indulging in filthy language and seized by a fit of rage punctuated by convulsions.”131 They feel they have lost their soul [arutam], and go out to kill others in raids to recover their soul—believing “if they fail to kill someone they would not be entitled to obtain new arutam souls and would die within weeks.” 132 Their leader, often a full Chief, is seen as a super-powerful Killing Mother with whom to fuse.133 Raids are for the purpose of killing and “securing as many human heads as possible” (among headhunters like the Jivaro), but “no case could be found of war being pursued to seize territory.”134 Throughout African history, slavery was rife, and “three men could not be sent on a journey together for fear two of them may combine and sell the third…[in some tribes] any man falling into their hands is killed and eaten.”135 With the development of slavery, kingship and the early state, we move to the next chapter on “Child Abuse and War in Early States.”

Learn to swim or die, you “warmer” bast***s! No money for you from successful nations, you loser citizens of crummy, culturally sick nations. Get lost. Go back into your hell holes and whine in solitude of your crummy huts. Have a Merry Christmas!

I read half of the article....gruesome. I was not able to finish reading it. And the liberals think that Christianity is evil and destructive to these native, pagan, “peaceful” cultures, when in fact Christianity was the only thing that was able to free these pagan animistic cultures from their evil, sadistic, gruesome & immoral practices.

“so the machete is the favored weapon of choice. “

Now I understand why liberals love them so much, they don’t use guns on each other.

It's criminal what these people have been led to believe.

Reality bites. And this one could bite with a vengeance. If we do enter a period of prolonged cooling, the only economies that will produce productivity rates that can handle the extra burdens of prolonged cold weather, will be the economies possessing the most free economic markets. The centrally planned and Marxist controlled economies will collapse under the weight of the added burden of cold. Heck, these Marxists economies normally operate on the verge of collapse. So in the end, capitalism keeps us warm, while Marxism freezes the Marxist rock solid. Now that, my friend, is poetic justice.
