For the life of me I do not understand Rush’s near obsession with Tiger. Why drag Tiger into the conversation.
Is there some personal animus between Rush and Tiger?
As I listen to Rush, I don’t hear an “obsession” as you put it. I hear an analogy to the hero-myth built & sustained by the media for Tiger, to the one built & sustained for ‘bama. Rush predicts that like Tiger’s, Obambi’s myth will crash & very soon. Rush is merely drawing a parallel & an apt one, IMHO.

Given the mere facts of the TW story, generally Rush wouldn't have said much. So I'm thinking there's some stuff he's dying to get out there that he can't just yet.
Tiger may be much more of a jerk than we know yet.
Keep in mind some of these sports media types who covered for TW may have been in on keeping Rush from becoming partial owner of a football team. If he's waiting for some revenge, Great! They've got it coming, and I'll get a kick out of watching.
He also sees the Tiger Woods story as an important metaphor about Obama's rise to prominence.
Or, maybe he knows stuff like in this Hillbuzz.
The fact that Rush has spent so much energy on TW has more than celebrity scandal going on.
His girlfriend is an events coordinator
for the PGA .. and he’s a golf nut.
