A new study has confirmed that Obama's "stimulus" spending is overwhelmingly targeting Democratic districts and being used as partisan constituent payoffs...while ignoring unemployment.
The study, conducted by the Mercatus Center at George Mason University in Virginia, found that the porkulus funds have gone to Democrat districts almost twice as often as Republican districts.
Now, as I have noted before, the worst economic disaster areas usually are run exclusively by Democrats and have been for decades. However, as Mercatus Center scholar Veronique de Rugy explains:
"If the stimulus money was actually spent to create jobs, there would be more stimulus money spent in high unemployment states...we don't find any correlation."
I’m thinking that if we retake the House in 2010 but do not manage to swing the Senate, a very strong course of action would be to begin House investigation into the Obama administration with especial regard to how TARP was spent.
“The Chicago Way” now at a national level. Good grief.
The Democrats want a system where capital is allocated by the government and not by the market. Political decisions will always take precedence over economic considerations when the Democrats are in charge.
Politics is the program “Let’s Make a Deal.” The White House is keep score. Someone spent a billion dollars to
elect Obama and they are getting their Monty’s worth on the Hill and Hall!
