I am very afraid that is what is going to happen. Sometimes you need to get out with the “best deal” you can—and fight another day.
I do not think this is the “best deal”, but they might.
Look for them to pull the rug right out from under us.

Can’t someone on the right challenge the constitutionality of this bill? An emergency injunction or something to slow this mess down?
I’m not a lawyer but I’ve seen the Democrats get their way over and over again using the courts. About time we took a page from their playbook.

“Theres still a ways to go.”
There has been “a ways to go” since the first vote for cloture failed...the arm twisting and back room deals will get this through...if it doesn’t get stopped today, it won’t get stopped...it will get through in some form, then during reconciliation the REAL pork and bribes will start...they will get the ball rolling, pass the tax hikes and we’ll see when the “benefits” actually start coming...if there are any forthcoming EVER..but the taxes will start immediately...which, in my opinion, is the REAL goal right now...

That would be the bill that has been hammered out in total secrecy and hasn’t even been properly filed.

Unless Liberman gave the right for someone else to vote for him, he won’t be able to get there. He is observing the Jewish Sabbath and the storm won’t allow him to get back to DC
To: Orange1998
Can’t the Republicans introduce 700 page amendments and then demand they be read?

Well then we're past it, because the vote will be tainted. ACORN funding reinstated, Hussein squirreling away the "stimulus" money so he can "stimulate" votes from the unions and entitlement voters in 2010 and 2012 (and he's shooting for yet another "stimulus" package, from what I've read-he must believe he'll need to make really big pay-offs in the face of this vote over the wishes of Americans from both sides of the political spectrum), large donations from the insurance companies to his campaign, shilling by such groups as the AARP, etc. The upcoming vote will be tainted, mark my words, because he and the Congressional aren't making this move in the face of such opposition without it being a calculated risk. You can best believe that they aren't prepared to lose their seats and their power over "principle"-that would be a first from either side of the aisle.

Unless Liberman gave the right for someone else to vote for him...He can't do that. Senators must be physically present in the chamber to vote.

Don’t think that will work. At least in Illinois, the first thing the Dems do is get their judges in place....

Call, fax, email your Senators!
--Tell them where you live in their state
--Tell your Senators you want to actually see the bill and that
you are outraged that Senate leaders are forcing their secret
bill to a final vote.
--Tell them you oppose ObamaCare and urge them to vote "NO" on
cloture and the final bill.
--Tell them you oppose the unconstitutional "individual mandate"
and the oppressive taxes in the plan.

Time to transition from trying to stop ObamaCare to destroying the Democratic Party in 2010 and 2012.

Well, from what Ive seen now well see if the House dems roll over. The abortion part is vastly different from the house abortion amendment. If Stupak and his other pro-life colleagues have any integrity, this thing still wont pass the reconcilliation. Theres still a ways to go.Democrats have no integrity, that's why they are democrats. The house democrats will get their pork like Nelson and vote how Lord Nancy tells them to.

Are you sure that’s not the House and Senate combing their bills? The vote tonight will be the Senate POS.
