If I were Nelson, Nebraska would be the last place I would go for Christmas. He’s toast at home, even as he sits there until 2012. He will be reviled.

A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect from 4 PM this afternoon
to noon EST Sunday.
Snow will develop between 7 and 10 PM and become heavy at times
overnight. The heaviest snow will occur between midnight and 8 am.
Gusty winds occasionally to 35 mph will also produce blowing and
drifting snow and near blizzard conditions at times... especially
across Rhode Island and eastern Massachusetts.
Storm total snowfall amounts are expected to be 7 to 15 inches...
with locally higher amounts possible.
The heaviest snow will pull away Sunday morning but steady snow will
likely persist into early afternoon across eastern Massachusetts before
ending later Sunday afternoon.
Travel is not recommended tonight and Sunday as it will become
difficult.
Precautionary/preparedness actions...
A Winter Storm Warning is issued when an average of 6 or more
inches of snow is expected in a 12 hour period... or for 8 or more
inches in a 24 hour period. Travel will be slow at best on well
treated surfaces... and quite difficult on any unplowed or
untreated surfaces.

Stupak came out against the bill calling the Reid-Nelson deal unacceptable and reiterated that he will lead the fight to defeat the bill in the House if his amendment is stripped out or watered down.
Unless and until he sells out I am willing to hope and pray that he keeps to his word.

Okay, thanks for the above. I think it important we all get it clear just how this works so let me add.
As you stated, if it goes directly to the House as passed by the Senate, the House only need approve it and boom, sign it and it's law.
Now suppose Pelosi don't like it? As I recall, Pelosi said out of the side of her mouth as she was dealing with the Baucus ammendment prohibiting abortion, the plan was to put abortion funding back in via conference.
As I understand it, a reconciliated bill needs only 51 votes in the senate now, am I right? So if Pelosi puts abortion back in in the conference committee and gets it approved in the House, the senate don't need holier-than-thou Nelson's vote like he was going on this morning he wouldn't give if it changed, that lying sack of snakes.?
But the House will have to approve the reconciliated bill as well, right? So too bad on Baucus because the abortion thing is no prob, no prob at all.
I also understand the pubs are demanding a reading of the bill, is this true? McConnell was on TV at a press conference, good on him the pubs need to do this more. He revealed cuts to Medicare...to hospice, hospitals, as well as increased taxes on medical equipment. That's what he knew about so far.
Which makes me ask...WHAT THE HELL? Cuts to Medicare, the docs increase in office visit charges also got cut as the docs who all wore those doctor smocks so dutifully for Obama got screwed by Reid, increased taxes but so far...THAT's IT?
I suppose there will be more but this thing is being read in the senate supposedly so keep eyes open, ears peeled.

I don’t believe it at any rate. If just once a Dem made a threat and wasn’t bought off I’d maybe believe something.
But this brings back my first question. Suppose Stupak isn’t lying, not likely, but suppose he won’t support any bill with abortion in it? Suppose they somehow put abortion in it in conference? The senate doesn’t need Nelson’s vote now cause they only need 51, and the House can likely pass it without Stupak, right?
