The inference was that the H & HR would become like the EPA in that all sorts of life changing rules would be passed without congressional or public approval.
I wonder why the repubs don't talk more about this as this is more of a threat to our liberty, personal choice and health than what is actually spelled out in the bill.
I know the bill has changed drastically since, but I will bet most of that is still in it and that is the real threat to our liberty.
As a Texan, I can give you an “Amen, Freeper” on that. KBH might get Houston and Austin, and downtown Dallas, but that’s about it.
I hope we are able to repeal this in 2010. If not, at least cut off the funding for it.
Remember him grilling Attorney General Holder about Osama bin Laden?
He said senator nelson played THe PRice is Right
Lindsey in a RINO ho with with his own price. It’s all a game. At the end of the day these clowns are all yucking it up over cocktails at the club.
Typical RINO ho ...

Sen. Tom Carper (D-Del.) is helping to negotiate a nuclear energy amendment that could help bring aboard swing votes who support the industry. Architects and backers of the nuclear effort include Sens. Joe Lieberman (I-Conn.), John McCain (R-Ariz.) and Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.), who are seeking more federal financial backing and other support.

Nuclear Energy Institute spokesman John Keeley said the industrys priorities include greater funding for loan guarantees. Congress has set aside $18.5 billion thus far for nuclear plant loan guarantees under a DOE financing program first authorized in the 2005 Energy Policy Act. But this would cover only a small number of new plants.
Four proposals remain in the running for DOE guarantees from this funding, according to several published reports. They are: UniStar Nuclear Energy/Constellation Energy Groups proposed Calvert Cliffs plant in Maryland; NRG Energy Inc.s South Texas Project; Southern Co.s Vogtle plant in Georgia; and Scana Corp.s Summer plant in South Carolina.

USC to get new business building
Funds will come from leasing current building to Department of Justice
An estimated 250 Justice Department employees working in different locations near Washington, D.C., will be relocated to Columbia over an unspecified period.
Graham said U.S. taxpayers will save $42 million by having Justice Department employees working in South Carolina, which has lower costs than Washington.
It was almost too good to be true, Graham said of the plan. But it proved to be true.
Graham, a Republican, praised U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder and Deputy Attorney General David Ogden, both of whom were appointed by President Obama, a Democrat.
I cant thank Eric Holder and David Ogden enough, Graham said, adding they offered their support for a leasing plan that was initiated during the administration of George W. Bush.
BTW, Snowe isn’t a centrist. She’s a donk with an R after her name. Just another libscum.
Of course, some here would say we have to support her or else we’ll end with “permanent minority status.” My answer to them? GTH.
The DemoRats are about to find out what a REAL SURGE looks like.
The glass house they inhabit is about to be shattered.
Why is Cheney endorsing Kay Bailey over Perry?
I believe Fox News’ Judge Nepolitano said that you would have to have “standing,” which means you would have to be willing to risk going to jail and/or paying the hefty fine if you don’t buy insurance, and who is going to want to do that?
Hopefully, if the Republicans win in 2010, they can dismantle this crap sandwich.
Someone has to be harmed by it in order to have standing.
Cap and trade, amnesty for illegals...
I guess all we can hope for is to delay as much as possible until 2010.
Hell, they’d dig up Ted Kennedy and tell us he miraculously came to life.
Can’t a justice on the SCOTUS call for review of a law?
The SCOTUS will review cases brought before it.
Step into my office, I've got a great deal on some waterfront property.
I don’t know.
they are all corrupt!!!!!
FREEDOM !!!!!!
“Yeah Graham go to hell”
He’ll get these soon enough.
Hope isn’t good enough to win this war four our freedom and liberty.
Any other suggestions?
Actually, IMHO a revolt of some kind is in order.
Graham’s just too cute by half, as are his remarks.
“The Price is Right??...Wow, that’s really taking it to them. What a statesman, we should all feel a lot better now.
